  1. You're right, and I also feel like an idiot, I just noticed the command is "docker exec Beets beet" I've been trying "docker exec Beets beets" Everything seems to work now, so I'm off to get this all set up.
  2. I'm trying to figure this out as well. I've managed to get PuTTY installed and used SSH to connect to my tower. I tried using the "docker exec Beets beets" command from the docker repo but this gives me an error docker-exec: failed to exec: exec: "beets": executable file not found in $PATH looking in my appdata/Beets, I found a file beets.sh which lead me to try docker exec Beets /config/beets.sh which spits out a whole mess of text, which are mostly errors.
  3. changing the default port mapping of 6080->8088 to 8080->8088 worked! I'm now able to use the webui in my browser. Thanks!
  4. I added the 3389 port to the container settings and now I can connect with Remote Desktop Connection so that's all good. I'm not sure what you mean about updating my templates. I went to my docker settings page and hit save on my repository list but would that mean I'd have to uninstall and reinstall the TMM template?
  5. I just installed the docker but can't connect to the webui. I already have several other dockers running fine, so I can't figure out what I'm dong wrong here. I saw mention in the thread of using RDP, so I tried connecting with Windows 7's built-in client but that didn't work either. There's no port conflicts with other dockers, but Tiny is the only one that has the container port different than the external, mine defaulted to 6080 container, and 8088 external. TMM is the only docker with a container not in the 8000s (sabnzb is 8080, sickrage is 8081, etc.) Am I missing something simple here?
  6. I'm setting up my shares on Unraid v6 and trying to set the split level to my needs. My problem is with the way it's worded in the share settings page. Based on what I see in the wiki about split level, I'm guessing in v5 it was simply a number you selected and that would be fine, since I understand the level numbers (helped greatly by this illustration). Unfortunately it's not worded this way in the settings page, so I'm checking here on the correct interpretation. From the Share Settings page in the GUI: "Automatically split only the top level directory as required" = split level 1 "Automatically split only the top two directory levels as required" = split level 2 is how I interpret it, but I'm not sure. Does that make "Automatically split any directory as required" = split level 0? As a side question, the wiki mentions using special characters as a dynamic split level which I think would be great, but I can't find a way to set this up. Is this an older feature that doesn't exist anymore?
  7. Awesome, I'm sorting all my stuff now! This is the reason I use TeraCopy myself, on top of the built-in file verification.
  8. I have my parity drive set-up and running fine, and I am on a gigabit connection for both to my router, so I can just keep using TeraCopy?
  9. I don't plan on doing anything at the disk level, and will only be going through the shares as I plan on mapping them as networked drives in windows. I use TeraCopy when doing moves and copies, will this avoid that move delay you mention?
  10. So I've finished setting up my first unraid server, have all my drives set up, and I just finished aggregating all my previously distributed files into one user share I just labeled 'Media' that I set to most-free with splitting any level. I want to create new shares based on the media type (i.e. Movies, TV Shows, Pictures, etc.), but I was reading some of the threads on the forums here and there's a bug about copying files around the system. I only want to move from the Media share to my new TV Show share, but I don't want to get the zero-length file issue. Is that glitch only when moving from a disk to a share, or is it share to share as well? If need be I can shift individual files off the server when I'm sorting but that would be a lot more work than I'd like.
  11. According to http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131795 the mobo only supports 8GB of RAM. That's the wrong board. I'm getting the newer revision M5A78L-M/USB3. If the FX8320E goes on sale in the next week I'm going to get it, otherwise I'm sticking with the FX6300. For the PSU I've changed it to a Corsair 500W based on HellDiverUK's advice. I'm trying to choose new RAM right now, and I'm pretty much just debating between 1 8GB stick vs 2x4GB sticks. Though I could get the full 16GB and experiment with FreeNAS ... Other than that, I'm all set and about to start ordering parts!
  12. I'm almost done planning out my first unraid server. My part list is now Case: Fractal Design Node 804 Motherboard: Asus M5A78L-M/USB3 Micro-ATX AM3+ CPU: AMD FX-6300 6-Core CPU Cooler: Corsair H60 Liquid CPU Cooler RAM: Kingston 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM ECC Unbuffered DDR3 1333 Server Memory Model KVR1333D3E9SK2/16G SATA expansion card: SYBA SI-PEX40064 PCI-Express 2.0 Low Profile Ready SATA III (6.0Gb/s) Controller Card PSU: CORSAIR HX Series HX750 750W ATX12V 2.3 / EPS12V 2.91 80 PLUS GOLD UPS: CyberPower Intelligent LCD Series CP1350AVRLCD 1350 VA 810 Watts 4 x 5-15R Battery/Surge Protected 4 x 5-15R Surge Protected Outlets UPS Storage will be a mixture of Western Digital Red and HGST Deskstar NAS I plan on using the server to stream media to several XBMC setups I already have around my place, manage sickbeard, sabnzb, a mysql library for XBMC, and possibly get into Plex transcoding for a tablet or two. At this point I am left with 3 questions. 1) Is the 6-Core FX-6300 appropriate or is that too much (or too little) power for what I want? 2) I've planned on 16 GB of RAM just because it seemed like a decent number, but I worry this is a waste of money based on the unraid hardware recommendation of 8 GB of ECC RAM for an application server. How much RAM do I really need for streaming and occasional transcoding? 3) I made sure to find a PSU with a single-rail 12V line with good reviews and a sufficient number of SATA connectors, but is 750W overkill for a motherboard with a small closed-loop water cooler, a few case fans, and (at most) 10 hard drives and 2 SSDs?
