  2. Did a search and nothing really turned up. But have any of you had success using Thunderbolt add in cards and what features/implementations have you be using it in and with what success??
  3. Anyone know the default port number for unRAID? There's an app for ChromeOS to access SMB shares but its looking for a port number to look for and i have no idea what the default port number is for unRAID.... Thoughts?
  4. Just a question, has anyone put a script on a HDD in unassigned devices of the same size as the Partiy HD just for copying over data on a scheduled basis?
  5. thanks, i thought there would be a beta beyond 6.1.6.....
  6. What beta build are you thinking of? There is no current beta build of unRAID. the newest v6 beta version available...

  9. so i did: <hostdev mode='subsystem' type='pci' managed='yes'> <driver name='vfio'/> <source> <address domain='0x0000' bus='0x0e' slot='0x00' function='0x0'/> </source> </hostdev> but when starting the VM i get error :internal error: Device 0000:0e:00.0 is already in use Device 0e:00.0 is my sound card. ive been having issues passing PCI devices through (USB Controller and PCI Sound card) and passing through USB devices is just as bad outside of the normal key+mouse... DAC wont go through, USB Headset will go through but audio is garbled... Help me please!
  10. How did you go about passing through the entire add on card?
  11. Nope, didn't work for me. after editing the XML unRAID threw a bunch of errors at me then deleted my WinX VM so i had to create it again. the XML code i was using was: <qemu:arg value='-device'/> <qemu:arg value='vfio-pci,host=0d:00.0,bus=root.1,addr=02.0'/> maybe i did it wrong?
  12. Awesome! can't full test atm (using chrome remote desktop to my surface pro to view the unRAID webGUI) would i to use the PCIe ACS Override like you mentioned... i have my pci bridge from the mobo in the same group... thoughts?
  13. Please Do!!! especially the XML portion of the guide.
  14. where those usb pcie cards 2.0 or 3.0? ive have a 3.0 card and no go. and you have PlugandPlay? How?!!?
  15. How did you accomplish that? Through Bios?
  16. First post here and new to unRAID. I've finished setting up my Win10 VM with all USB devices passed through as well as GPU. everything works minus the audio. the mobo on-board audio works fine. The major issue is passing through my USB DAC (Schiit Modi) to the VM. unRAID see the USB device but when Win10 boots the device is nowhere to be found, nothing in the Device Manager either..... Any thoughts? I believe its due to the fact that its connected to USB3 and not USB2 (i have a usb2.0 pci card on the way as my mobo doesn't have any usb2.0 nor a on-board header). Also, the USB DAC doesn't have any drivers, its built to plug and play. its worked with Win7/Win8.1/Win10 with no issues until i try to pass it through to a VM. ::side note:: i'm able to pass through a USB Headset but i have a constant clicking sound in a USB headset when audio is playing. Anyone face anything like this? have you resolved it?
