  1. Sorry for the time waster. Got it working now! The issue was: The NAS or Docker or the Image itself thinks I am one hour behind. So it never hit the scheduled timer. After setting it one hour earlier it worked. Thanks for the heads up and again, sorry.
  2. The cron job? Yeah I tried setting it to start after 5 min, but it never kicked in...
  3. Yeah, trying for hours, cant get it to work. While this, outdated version, started right up
  4. @saarg You seem to be the only one with a working version of Webgrab+ , any chance to get it updated to the latest version? Thanks
  5. Hi there, I am trying this version of WebGrab+ for the first time, but I cannot seem to get it running. I just get the following in the console log after starting it. it doesn't even try to grab the channels... [s6-init] ensuring user provided files have correct perms...exited 0. 6. I just got this issue last night. Everything was working nicely untill I enabled cpu isolation in the syslinux.cfg file. After removing that and restarting the tower, the soundcard was detected and working again.
  7. What do we need to do with our custom Docker images on unraid in order to get the "Edit Docker" option in the webui? I can see that the dockers I have installed via Community Apps all have that, and you can set different options like port and cpupins ect. So how to add same feature to our own dockers? Thanks
  8. Man I must have been asleep for the last year. Just found out about this! Kept getting and error when starting a VM with iGPU and integrated soundcard. Was thinking it was igpu related, and that it wasn't possible to pass it. Then, after reading the error properly , found out it was the soundcard it had problems with. Applied the append to syslinux.cfg and it just works! Great stuff, thanks guys!
  9. Hi all, Trying to figure out where my issue is here. Configuration or just hardware. My tower has a "Intel Skylake i5 6600K CPU" with 16GB RAM. For a long time now I have been running this with a few Dockers and 2 VMs. VM 1 is for light gaming - Assigned 2 CPU cores - 12 GB RAM - GeForce GTX 670 GPU VM 2 is LibreElec Kodi - Assigned 2 CPU cores - 2 GB RAM - GeForce GT 720 GPU This is running just fine, and no issues. Now recently I have been started playing around with "Steam In-home streaming" on VM1. So that I can play on other devices like Intel NUC or my MacBook Pro. I got it working, but I seem to have some performance issues. On the host VM1, in Steam, I have enabled "Hardware Encoding" with "Beautiful" preset. When starting a game-stream from a Client (MacBook) it runs fine at start. I can see in the lower right screen that it is using hardware encoding (NVENC). After a few seconds it just drops down to software encoding (libx264 - 1 thread) and gives me sluggish 10 fps at best. Plus a "Slow Encode" message appears. Unplayable. If I go to the host machine monitor, the game plays very well, super quality and resolution, no lag. Then I decided to shut down VM2, and assign all CPU cores to VM1. Started everything up again. Started a new game-stream from the same client, and the game/stream runs perfectly smooth with full quality and 2560 resolution. no lag, no fps drop, stays always on hardware encoding. I am just trying to understand what is going on here. Is it just that my CPU cannot handle this when cores are pinned to VMs?
  10. I just saw this post... I have a Skylake i5 6600K and have been having issues with multiple VMs. After turning off one of them and re-assigning all CPUs to that one VM, the system is very stable, not a single crash. My motherboard is a "ASUS Z170M-PLUS S-1151 M-ATX". Just checked the site for BIOS upgrades and this is the latest update: Version 3402 - 2017/07/21 1. Update CPU Microcode 2. Improve system compatibility and stability https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/Z170M-PLUS/HelpDesk_CPU/ Will upgrade BIOS and try again with multiple VMs running.
  11. Hi, I'm running LibreElec 8.0.1 generic as a VM on my unraid. When I watch LiveTV (tvheadend or iptv) after a while it hangs the entire VM and have to force stop via dashboard. Sometimes it can take hour or two sometimes a few minutes after restart. everything freezes and no response from remote. I have another VM that runs win10 and it runs just fine. Pinned 2 cores on each VM from a total of 4. LibreElec has 2GB ram dedicated. Is there any way I can find out what is happening here?
  12. Thanks for the tips regarding the "Troubleshooting Mode" did not know it had that feature. Turned it on now. My setup is just year and a half old. All new components, with a nice Corsair case, all disks are running at a 30-34 degrees celsius temperature. All fans working fine. So there is very little to no dust there. Did not have one issue with it since day one. This is the first time it started to behave badly. @bonienl One ethernet cable only.
  13. Yeah it does have a static IP, but no other device has the same one. I keep track of them in the ASUS-router control panel.
  14. Hi, A few days ago I suddenly lost all network connection (including Internett) in my apartment. After spending several hours with both my ASUS router (and calling ISP support ), I realised the problem was in my office room where the unRAID server is located. When disconnecting the Ethernet cable connected to unRADI, everything else just came back online! But even so, I could not get back control over my unraid server. I connected it to a monitor, no errors or anything, shows the standard non-gui screen. Connected a keyboard to it, but no dice. Could not use it. So I had to do a restart (it hurts I know). It came up without issues, I was on v6.2.1 so I updated to 6.3.3 in case there are some issues there. Also took a parity check, all ok. Now, two days later, the same damn thing happened. I have no clue what is going on here. Is there some way I can get back the control of my unraid server without doing a hard reset? And is there a way to later find out what the heck is causing this? Thanks in advance.
  15. Yeah, it does. Got it working just after I wrote the post Forgot that I had to change the xml manually 'virtio' to 'sata' ect... Nice!
  16. Is there a step-by-step tutorial on how to setup LibreELEC on unraid?
  17. Hehehe yeah, you actually must use 2015 VS. The main difference is that Microsoft is finally moving cross-platform, so running & developing .net applications on linux and osx is now possible.
  18. If you want the easy way, you could go with win server as a web-server yes. But if you want the best way, then I suggest you read up on "Asp.net Core 1.0" the new version of ASP.net (aka asp.net 5, aka asp.net vNext) that also runs on Docker. So if you have existing asp.net app then you would have to refactor to asp.net core 1.0. After that you create a docker-image of your webapp, based on "asp.net core 1.0" image. I didn't find any other way to run asp.net sited on unRaid, docker worked for me. I have a few sites running, and got rid of my windows web-server. Works like a charm.
  19. What is the easiest way to upgrade a OE vm to newer version? I am on 6.0.0. now, and would like to have 6.0.1. I keep getting notifications innside OE that a new version is available, but I'm not sure if I should run it via OE or not. Would be great that I could keep my settings and libraries when updating. Thanks
  20. Yeah did that when I first started with my unRadi build. So I do have the latest one. But it's ok. I'm planning to get a new card anyway. I'm very impressed on how things are working right now. I have 2 VM running 24/7 and around 4 dockers. One of the VMs is actually used all the time (watch TV with it). And still, temps are normal, no sound from the fans, and the cpu usage is below 30%. In the process I've gotten ridd of 3 other devices that were doing all of this. Money well spent. Thanks unRaid!
  21. Any updates on this, any tips on how to get Origin to work with shares?
  22. Correct. When I added the card to my setup and powered up unraid, I heard it from the start. Very loud pluss with the "coil-whine" sound. It sat there like for at least hour, hour and a half until I got my win10 VM setup. When I assigned the GPU to the VM and powered it up, to my surprise, things went very quiet. I even gamed a bit, it was still quiet. All temperatures innside the case were normal. Then when I was done, powered down the VM, and the fans started up again. Waited at least for 30 min... It became loud enough that I decided to power up the VM to keep it quiet
  23. Hi, I recently added a Win10 VM to my unraid, to my surprise without any hassle Everything works atm. The VM has a dedicated GPU (GTX 670). One thing I noticed is that when I power down the VM, the GPU fans kick inn to full power. So when the VM/GPU is not being used, it gets really noisy. When the VM is powered up, the fans normalize and the noise is gone. I guess the GPU fans are controlled by OS or the drivers? So at the moment I am keeping the VM powered on, even tho that was not my plan. I just wanted to use that VM when I want to game, now it has to be on all the time to keep the noise to a minimum. So is this GPU specific or is it the way things work? I am planning to get a new GPU later this year, so I just want to know if this is to expect? Or is there something that can be delt with? Thanks
