  1. I almost forgot to add the fact that they're only migrating 6TB to the new platform as well. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  2. I called code42 a few hours ago to order my data set to be sent to me on her. That's no longer offered! Crashplan? Disaster recovery? Sure, if you have 2 word docs! I have 9TB! Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  3. I was just checking this company out last night as well. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  4. unraid 6.2.4 added to AD Server 2012 domain When trying to set permissions on Movies directory: Change owner to domain admin account Replace all child object permission entries with inheritable permission entries from this object Then I get... An error occurred while applying security information to: \\MEDIA-SERVER\Movies\MovieName Failed to enumerate objects in the container. Access is denied. I ran new permissions on the media server before adding it to the domain so that there wouldn't be any weird carry overs from the unraid security features. Other shares are working like they're supposed to while I set permissions. Can I reset permissions on only this share and retry? What's the best way to attack this?
  5. I apologize. I wasn't clear. This is an existing VM that I have lost access to. The v disks are still there. They just don't mount. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  6. When I try to boot up the machine it boots off what appears to be the install image. It says I can refresh or reset the machine. I go to advanced and command prompt. Run disk partitioner, run list volume. The 2 volumes that show up are the virtio and the install disc. The 2 volumes are still defined in the VM template. Can anyone help me get these remounted to boot this thing up?
  7. When I try to start the VM it comes up to the repair windows option to reset or refresh your pc. Automatic repair can't fix it. Any idea how to get this VM to boot up?
  8. That worked for the network connectivity. Thanks. *Unrelated* Well...now I the vdisks are corrupt and the VM won't start. There are 3 vdisks and of course the cd iso from the install. Do you happen to know how to repair the mbr or scan the disks from a command line? It just boots up to the Windows repair screen. This sucks as it's a DC and has my client backups on it. ETA When booting into a command line and running DISKPART, LIST VIDISK shows no discs. LIST VOLUME shows VOLUME 0 D HRM_SSS0_X6 UDF CDROM 4114 MB HEALTHY VOLUME 1 E VIRTIO-WIN- CDFS CDROM 53MB HEALTHY It appears to me that the vdisks aren't mounting at all.
  9. Unraid is back online. The WS2k12 VM is accessible via VNC. The network adapter on the VM is getting an IP address of 192.168.122.233 with a default gateway of 192.168.122.1 via dhcp. I need this VM to be set static to 192.168.0.2 and gateway of 192.168.0.1 My unraid is set static to 192.168.0.3 After that's fixed then I can try to fix the master browser issue.
  10. Thanks for your reply. The Ws2012 is the DC for the domain. Do you know if that would work? On another note: I changed the VM network from br0 to a different setting to see if it made any difference. Now unraid is completely inaccessible. I'm guessing I'm going to have to fix unraid from the flash drive. Can you give me some direction on that?
  11. I'm running a Server 2012 Essentials in a VM on my Unraid. All of my client computers and the Unraid server itself show up when I browse the network but the Windows server doesn't. I can contact it, browse it, ping it. It's assigned a static IP address. Can anyone point me in the right direction to have it show up correctly? I also have another VM running Windows 10. It does show up on the network correctly. Unraid 6.1.1
  12. Updating the container worked for me as well for connecting via the cp desktop docker. I haven't tried cp desktop from windows yet. I adopted the computer and it was syncing blocks several hours ago. I just checked on it and it won't connect to the engine now.
  13. When the update arrives, I'll update the container, ok? Thank you. I'm referring to the Windows client btw. My crashplan desktop on unraid doesn't connect either. It says up to date as well. Just an FYI. I'm hoping this will all be resolved. Thanks again!
  14. Unraid 6.1.1 Crashplan Dekstop 4.6.0 Docker image updated to latest as of today. 4-28-16 Crashplan has been backing up to the cloud from my unraid for months. I had the desktop client connecting to the engine a several months back but somewhere along the line that broke. I updated to the latest version of the desktop but it won't connect to the engine on unraid. .ui_info .identity have both been configured as they were in the past with the local ip of the unraid. Is there something else going on now that I need to do? I haven't been to concerned with it since the engine was working correctly but I have added a few new shares that I need to add to the backup.
  15. I was losing connectivity from my laptop to the server. I disabled the crashplan service on the laptop and marked the ui_info as read only after making the edit for the IP address of the server. It survives connectivity after a reboot now.
  16. I followed allroy's directions above and got the desktop client connecting and the server is now backing up. Hopefully the Linux desktop client will be updated soon but at least this gets me going for now. Thank you for your reply.
  17. I have Crashplan and the Crashplan desktop configured per the instructions here. It appears as though everything is working correctly, but I can't get Crashplan to connect to crashplan central. It just sits there with a gray ball and says connection status: disconnected.
  18. I did a little digging around and found some more memory in a drawer. I threw it in and all is well. This thing should be running nicely when my new memory gets here, but at least this allows me to take advantage of some time off and get the new virtual server running and configured.
  19. I'll wait until my other memory get here. It will have 8gb in it then and I can assign 6 to the VM.
  20. Yes. I have more on the way. I was just going to do a baseline install. I also tried installing Windows XP on it with the same configuration just to see if it was an issue of the low memory assignment, and it failed in the exact same manner.
  21. I'm using the build in viewer, but I have tried the free standing viewer as well. When it disconnects the CPU activity on the server stops. The entire virtual machine is crashing back to a stopped state.
  22. Log from VM: 2015-09-23 21:05:57.338+0000: starting up libvirt version: 1.2.18, qemu version: 2.3.0 Domain id=1 is tainted: high-privileges Domain id=1 is tainted: host-cpu char device redirected to /dev/pts/0 (label charserial0) 2015-09-23 21:12:22.014+0000: shutting down Log from VM when trying to restart it after it shuts down: 2015-09-23 21:14:47.019+0000: starting up libvirt version: 1.2.18, qemu version: 2.3.0 Domain id=2 is tainted: high-privileges Domain id=2 is tainted: host-cpu char device redirected to /dev/pts/0 (label charserial0) It's not giving me any other sort of errors besides disconnecting and shutting down. Upon restart of the VM it says an OS wasn't found press ctl alt del to restart. When I do that it just give the same message over and over and won't try to install the OS again.

  24. Every time I try to setup a VM the VNC Viewer disconnects and the install fails. What in the world is going on? I load all of the drivers per the wiki on the initial install of windows but just a few minutes in it disconnects and is done.
