  1. Hey, if I remember correctly, in the end it wasn't to do with unRaid, and I think Chrome was the issue. Might seem strange, but try a different browser. MC
  2. This is the error I get in my server log when trying to enter either the unraid terminal or a docker container console: Feb 15 18:10:53 Tower nginx: 2019/02/15 18:10:53 [error] 4718#4718: *2927 upstream prematurely closed connection while reading response header from upstream, client:, server: , request: "GET /dockerterminal/binhex-plex/ HTTP/1.1", upstream: "http://unix:/var/tmp/binhex-plex.sock:/", host: "", referrer: "" Any idea what could be causing this? Diagnostics attached.
  3. Hey guys, just bought a Seagate Backup Plus 4TB external drive, but you can easily take them out of the enclosure, they are just a normal 2.5" Barracuda inside. They are 15mm thick though, so bear this in mind in case it's too thick for your drive tray. https://smile.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01127CY26/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00__o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  4. Hi there, I have a 970 laying dormant and would like to use it for some ethereum mining. I need a docker for unRaid based on ethminer or something similar. There are existing dockers out there but not for unRaid, and frankly I'm a scrub with very little idea of how I could make a docker compatible with unRaid. I would pass through to a Windows VM, but the old Dell mobo I'm using doesn't support IO pass through. Would be willing to donate to the creator. Thanks.
  5. It should already be started, you simply need to check allow remote connections under preferences in the webui (see attachment). Then in CouchPotato this is what I have setup for deluge (see attachment). I use the IP address of UnRAID plus the port of the daemon and the user I defined in the auth file according to Q6 in the OP. I've checked all this many times. The daemon is not running. I get connection failed, which is 100% not to do with my ip or port. The auth file and details in CP are correct. Using a different version of CP gives the same issue. I am positive it is the Daemon.
  6. I'm having issues connecting CouchPotato to deluge. Been down many avenues and am now sure that it is that the daemon is not running. How can I start the daemon, and is there a way to make it start with delugevpn. I didn't seem to have this issue with my old installation, and nothing has change as far as I know. Thanks in advance.
  7. firstly you must be setting the vpn provider to PIA for it to be attempting to auto set the incoming port (pia supported only), if you are using pia then you need to use a gateway that supports port forwarding, if your not using pia then you need to change the vpn provider to "custom" and figure out what the incoming port is for your vpn provider. Hi, thanks for that. I am using PIA, but wasn't using a port forwarding enabled gateway, changed that now. Didn't realise that PIA would automatically forward a port on an enabled gateway, and especially didn't think that DelugeVPN would automagically change the incoming port to the correct one. Great, and thanks for the help!
  8. Hi, getting this in my DelgueVPN log and download speeds are non existent. 2016-04-01 07:59:49,316 DEBG 'deluge' stdout output: [warn] PIA incoming port is not an integer, downloads will be slow, check if remote gateway supports port forwarding Is it as simple at forwarding the port with my VPN (which really doesn't seem that simple), or is it something else? I should also add that in the log, it states the incoming deluge port is 6881, and the incoming VPN port is blank, there is nothing there. Thanks.
  9. How are you trying to install it? Through Community Applications or via Select Template? NEVER MIND! The path I was using for one of the directories included a space... Thanks anyway! There's an update to the webgui that will fix that. Plugins. Check for updates. Dynamix webui. Install Thanks.
  10. Is there a way to include a space in the volume mapping path when installing a docker container? Some of my shares contain spaces, and changing them so they don't would be a nightmare, as I would also have to change all paths that refer to them as well. I will make note for future not to include spaces! Thanks.
  11. I shall endeavour to answer your questions, however I MUST first ask you to read this: Please read this re your statement of connecting your unRAID Server to an open VPN Service. This is NOT recommended for security reasons. http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=19439.msg458877#msg458877 The preferred method is to run it from a Client on your ROUTER. Anyway, you have been warned, to your questions. I am going to give you my answer utilising the unRAID preferred method of running applications => Docker. There is a Plugin solution (and I do get PM'd regularly reminding me that Plugin's are STILL supported and I should NOT give advice just for Docker BUT I have decided NOT to advise that way anymore) BUT it is not the preferred method. Doing this can somewhat invalidate some of my advice below as your LAN machines are not entirely just not the LAN anymore. But anyway .... Yes. OpenVPN-AS by linuxserver.io. OpenVPN Access Server is a full featured secure network tunneling VPN software solution that integrates OpenVPN server capabilities, enterprise management capabilities, simplified OpenVPN Connect UI, and OpenVPN Client software packages that accommodate Windows, MAC, Linux, Android, and iOS environments. OpenVPN Access Server supports a wide range of configurations, including secure and granular remote access to internal network and/ or private cloud network resources and applications with fine-grained access control. https://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=43317.0 Once you are connected to the VPN your unRAID Server is available as if you were connected to the LAN. If you have Services running on your Server on different ports you will be able to access them on that port without issue. You will NOT be able to access them until you are connected to the VPN service, thus keeping the service secure. There are a plethora of Dockers available for as much applications as you can think of. If you have not done so yet, please install Community Applications plugin. http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=40262.0 This plugin will allow you to easily search for and add any of the unRaid docker or plugin applications. If you are behind a router and only have access to the ports of the unRAID (or any other computer / server on your LAN for that matter) when you are connected via VPN then you are as safe as you can be. You effectively only have one port open on your router and that is what you connect to your LAN through. However, if you have then connected your unRAID Server to a VPN Service - well, that is where there some invalidation of this advice as per my comment above and the quote from jonathanm. I think this answers your questions. Be careful. You could also configure any app you want to access the vpn through the privoxy setup that binhex has helpfully provided with all his vpn enabled downloaders. BTW, by connecting your unraid directly to the VPN provider, you are bypassing any protection your router firewall is providing. Most likely anybody on the same subnet inside the VPN can access your unraid box. At this point you are relying on your VPN provider to isolate your box from their other customers, which is not typical. Thank you all for your help and advice. I have heeded your warnings, and have followed your advice, and my server is far safer now! Great example of the excellent members of this community - thank you!

  13. Hi, have just tried installing this multiple time with no luck. Fairly sure I'm setting it up correctly. Enter in all of the variable etc. It only shows up in docker if I enable advanced view, and then it doesn't have the image or name, only the author/repo. Only option given is to remove. I checked the directory I specified for the config and there is nothing in it. Any ideas? Let me know if more info is needed. Thanks. EDIT: forgot to mention that the same thing happens with DelugeVPN
  14. As I said in my initial post, I know about various plugins and dockers that have vpn support, but there are also many that don't exist. As far as I'm aware, couchpotato doesn't have a vpn version. With all due respect, and I do appreciate you trying to help, please read and understand my post before suggesting things.
