Update to 7 and frequent loss of access
Everything was fine on 6.12 until I installed the PiHole docker. Pihole worked for a while but would crash every now and then. I had been using macvlan with no problems up until this so I decided to change it to ipvlan so I was prepared for the upgrade as I understood there were some bugs with macvlan. I changed the lan settings and still had some trouble with PiHole. I decided to nix the PiHole container and go with a secondary box to run it. However, I still have issues with Unraid where the server is running but it is not responding to the network nor is the gui accessible locally. I've upgraded to the most current release to see if that fixes things and it still freezes up. I've stopped using my realtek 2.5g NIC as I heard that causes problems, and it still freezes up. I checked the persistent syslog I have but there doesn't seem to be anything listed when the problems occur, just no more entries once the system freezes up. Here is the syslog when the freeze occurs (20:00:22 is last entry before I manually restarted it at 11:36:00) Mar 14 09:28:45 SlaveServer flash_backup: adding task: /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix.my.servers/scripts/UpdateFlashBackup update Mar 14 12:00:20 SlaveServer root: /mnt/cache: 257 GiB (275926605824 bytes) trimmed on /dev/nvme0n1p1 Mar 14 12:00:23 SlaveServer root: /var/lib/docker: 12.2 GiB (13133815808 bytes) trimmed on /dev/loop2 Mar 14 16:00:19 SlaveServer root: /mnt/cache: 256.9 GiB (275850715136 bytes) trimmed on /dev/nvme0n1p1 Mar 14 16:00:22 SlaveServer root: /var/lib/docker: 12.2 GiB (13125189632 bytes) trimmed on /dev/loop2 Mar 14 20:00:20 SlaveServer root: /mnt/cache: 256.9 GiB (275839148032 bytes) trimmed on /dev/nvme0n1p1 Mar 14 20:00:22 SlaveServer root: /var/lib/docker: 12.2 GiB (13126307840 bytes) trimmed on /dev/loop2 Mar 15 11:36:00 SlaveServer rc.rsyslogd: Syslog server daemon... No web gui when array starts only; Unraid 6.11.5
You sir are a genius! As soon as I checked the plugins folder I located the tailscale plugin. I installed it months ago and hadn't rebooted the server since then. I deleted the file and the webgui is accessible again!!! THANK YOU!

No network connectivity, then random freezes... now a red X
I solved this issue after trial and error - I had to delete my browser settings which allowed me to connect again.

No web gui when array starts only; Unraid 6.11.5
I shut down the server today to remove two disks which were constantly overheating (they were initially added to the array but would never clear because of the heating issue). I removed the disks from the array, shut down the server, removed the physical disks from the server, and restarted. Upon restart, I was able to view the web gui, enter my encryption key, then start the array. At this point I lose connectivity via the browser getting "Unable to connect An error occurred during a connection to 10.1.1.50." I am able to SSH in and I am able to access my shares via Windows. I've shut down and restarted multiple times and have been able to start in Safe Mode and Maintenance Mode without issue. It's just when I start the array I lose the web gui. Also, I can access the shares via the server name and/or the ip address. I've tried the following: -Trying a different browser -Deleting my website data / cookies in the browser -Deleting the SSH folder from the flash drive -Deleting the network.cfg from the flash drive I've posted log files when the issue occurs (no gui) and during safe mode (yes gui). I also posted the syslog of the currently running system (sans-gui). Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! No network connectivity, then random freezes... now a red X
A few weeks ago my server randomly dropped network connectivity. I could still access the terminal via a physically attached keyboard. I grabbed a diagnostic (#1) but the problem went away after a little while. Now I'm having random freezes where the system is not accessible via the network or locally (with a keyboard). On the attached monitor I noticed a message reading: "log I/O error" And finally, one of my disks has a red X on it. It is newer than most other disks and I checked the cable which doesn't seem to be the issue. I've run both SMART tests and it passed both times. I grabbed another diagnostic (#2). Any thoughts? Thank you in advance!!! 1slaveserver-diagnostics-20170517-2137.zip 2slaveserver-diagnostics-20170617-1332.zip Running 6.3.5 M/B: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. - G31M-ES2L CPU: Intel® Core™2 Quad CPU @ 3200 HVM: Enabled IOMMU: Disabled Cache: 64 kB, 3072 kB Memory: 4 GB (max. installable capacity 16 GB) Network: eth0: 1000 Mb/s, full duplex, mtu 1500 Kernel: Linux 4.9.30-unRAID x86_64 OpenSSL: 1.0.2k
