  1. Hi, I have 2 gaming-VM's om my computer. Both of them seems to work ok, but when gaming they both have lag and allso extreme delay when moving. Allso runs smooth a few secound now and then. Computer specs: i5-9600K ASUS TUF Z390-PLUS GAMING (WI-FI) 32GB ram 2x ASUS GTX1070-Turbo 8GB 240GB M.2-SSD 1TB SSD I finally got rid of the error code 43 when using: PCIe ACS override: Downstream VFIO allow unsafe interrupts: Yes Bios: OVMF Machine: Q35-3.1 I don't think there is any problem with the graphic card now. Even doh nvidia control panel shows; PCI Express x1. Both cards is placed in x16 lanes. Windows 10 power plan is set to high preformance and in BIOS i have tried pcie speed gen2, 3 and AUTO. All give same results. Even pcie x1 should work just fine. A little lower fps, but stable. I think there is a CPU problem. I have been google'ing and i found a lot about cpu cache and memory. But im noob, i dont understand what to test. My CPU does not have HT and i only have 1 CPU. All the other ppl i read about have HT and more than 1 cpu. I switched one of the VM's to use CPU Mode: Emulated (QEMU64), this works a lot better! It is now possible to play, but it's still not good enough to play FPS games. Not sure if this is useful, but i typed in some commands i found in other forum thread: numactl --hardware available: 1 nodes (0) node 0 cpus: 0 1 2 3 4 5 node 0 size: 32082 MB node 0 free: 321 MB node distances: node 0 0: 10 numastat qemu Per-node process memory usage (in MBs) PID Node 0 Total ----------------------- --------------- --------------- 4725 (qemu-system-x86) 12392.18 12392.18 14377 (qemu-system-x86) 16489.20 16489.20 ----------------------- --------------- --------------- Total 28881.38 28881.38 Thanks for any help! tower-diagnostics-20190818-0731.zip
  2. Yea, I tryed that too. Cant use keyboard in Bios when i have SeaBios. I have this problem on all UNRAID OS-Versions I have tryed. Maby the solution is to change from windows 7 to windows 10? Have you tried changing the keyboard or the USB port? yes, tryed both. When I'm in "System recovery options" I can open command prompt. But i cant find any commands that force windows to start. Not that works with windows 7. msconfig does not work. You could try to remove the GPU pass through and add vnc to get windows booting again. Then shut down the VM and remove vnc and add back the GPU. ! You are my hero ! It worked! Thanks Keyboard works in VNC. Windows is stuck at loading screen, so i guess i have to reinstall anyway

  5. I cant be the only one with this problem? Can you use keyboard in bios when you use SeaBios for your VM?
  6. Hi I rly need help! I dont want to reinstall windows whenever i get this. WINDOWS 7 X64 I had a bluescreen when i tryed to boot windows. Now, as default windows want to "Launch Startup Repair (recommended)" But he fail to repair and wont start Windows. I have R9 290X Video card so i use SeaBios. With SeaBios I cant get the keyboard to work. It works in Windows, but not in Bios. So the recovery option goes in a loop and i cant klick "Arrow down" to select "Start Windows Normally" :'( I allso tryed to boot from Windows DVD, but i cant.. becuse i cant press "any key to boot".. Pls help! Thanks!
  7. Hi I just downloaded and installed 6.2.0-rc4. When I'm creating a VM for Windows 7 i cant find any option where i can add virtio-win-0.1.117.iso I can only add a Windows 7 ISO, i dont find the HDD without virtio driver-pack when installing windows. I fixed this manually by adding this to my XML: <disk type='file' device='cdrom'> <driver name='qemu' type='raw'/> <source file='/mnt/user/isos/virtio-win-0.1.117.iso'/> <target dev='hdd' bus='ide'/> <readonly/> <boot order='2'/> <address type='drive' controller='0' bus='0' target='0' unit='1'/> </disk> It worked. Its been a few months since i tryed UNRAID. Is this virtio option removed or has it been moved to another place? Or maby I'm just blind. I used like 2 hours trying to find it Rabbe
  8. I tryed "normal" keyboard first. But old sparc computers does not boot without sun-keyboard (by default), so i thought it was worth the try I dont use sparc now.
  9. Hi I'm trying to install Solaris 10 and 11 as VM on unRAID. I use the default Linux VM and added a solaris iso, a Nvidia GTX 570 GPU and a SUN Keyboard. Solaris 10 - USB Mode 2.0(EHCI) It looks like its trying to boot, but nothing is happening. Solaris 11 - USB Mode 2.0(EHCI) I get the error: WARNING: /pci@0, 0/pci ...something.. (uhci0): No SOF interrupts have been received, this USB UHCI host controller is unusable. Solaris 11 - USB Mode 3.0(XHCI) The boot is coming futher. But it stil crash, look at pictures. I'm going to buy an USB 2.0 PCI-E and try passthrough it to Solaris, maby it helps. Anyone having an idea to solve this? Is it possible to run Solaris as a VM in unRAID? EDIT: I dunno how to get picture work.. http://pasteboard.co/1kGPkpMq.jpg http://pasteboard.co/1kGRQpz8.jpg
  10. Hi I'm going to buy some video cards for testing passthrough at work. Our programs only suppors Quadro and we dont need any monster cards. I have testet passthrough on the video cards we have at work to day, but it did not work. (Quadro 600). Have anyone tested the Quadro K2200? Will it work? Thanks.
  11. I can now run the two VMs at the same time with no issue so far. (I think the freeze was caused by some USB problem when using USB-hub) But i stil need to restart the entire unRAID every time i try to restart the VM with GTX570 GPU. Because the VM goes black. I see this error in the log: Domain id=1 is tainted: high-privileges Domain id=1 is tainted: host-cpu Please help me modify XML to so i can load the GPU .rom file manually. Thanks!
  12. Hi I have a lot of problems with my VMs. I can start a VM with Radeon R9 270X but when i use my Geforce GTX570 i get major problems. And the VM with GTX570 allso make my other VM crash.. At the moment I try to only have 1 VM running. The GTX570. After revomeing a trubling usb-hub I made the VM boot and installed windows. But if i reboot the system it does not come up again. Black screen. The only way to get it back up is to reboot unRAID. I read that this is a GPU problem and not a unRAID problem. So i have to set it to boot a .rom file manually. I did follow this guide: http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php/UnRAID_Manual_6#Edit_XML_for_VM_to_supply_GPU_ROM_manually I see there has been some changes in the 6.2beta21 vs 6.1.9 at this point. I'm a noob at this and i dunno what to do when its not looking the same as the guide. Please help me edit the XML to load the .rom file (6.2beta21). An other question; Can i have passthrough on a Nvidia GPU to one VM and a Radeon GPU to an other VM at the same time? I cant get this to work, but it might be something els causing it to freeze. 13. I see, I'll install another SSD for cache then. I realize i was a little to quick saying it worked. Well, I have the VMs tab now. But when I hit "OS Install ISO:" or "VirtIO Drivers ISO:" I have no option. My shares does not show. Settings - VM Settings - Advanced Settings, and set a share for the default ISO locations You are right. I have changed the versjon on the USB flash so many times that i forgot to change the settings this time. Thanks for all the help!
