  2. Thanks I read the document and I am running 6.3.5 so i followed the specific instructions It wasnt successful 1) I ran the command but It couldnt find the file system 2) I tried all the other MD (1-3) that was listed on Dev to see what the out come is : The reason I am in this jam was I bought some refub hard drives and the fix common problems notification poped up Here is what is shown as followed Entering reiserfsck --check /dev/md# root@Tower:~# reiserfsck --check /dev/md1 reiserfsck 3.6.24 Will read-only check consistency of the filesystem on /dev/md1 Will put log info to 'stdout' Do you want to run this program?[N/Yes] (note need to type Yes if you do):Yes reiserfs_open: the reiserfs superblock cannot be found on /dev/md1. Failed to open the filesystem. If the partition table has not been changed, and the partition is valid and it really contains a reiserfs partition, then the superblock is corrupted and you need to run this utility with --rebuild-sb. root@Tower:~# reiserfsck --check /dev/md2 reiserfsck 3.6.24 Will read-only check consistency of the filesystem on /dev/md2 Will put log info to 'stdout' Do you want to run this program?[N/Yes] (note need to type Yes if you do):Yes reiserfs_open: the reiserfs superblock cannot be found on /dev/md2. 3. Hey Guys So I am following the suggestions that fix common problems 1) I've stopped the array 2) put system in maintenance mode 3) is running file system checks the parity check? can anyone point me in the right direction if the disk if XFS / REISERFS, stop the array, restart the Array in Maintenance mode, and run the file system checks. If the disk is BTRFS, then just run the file system checks If the disk is listed as being unmountable, and it has data on it, whatever you do do not hit the format button. Seek assistance HERE disk3 (ST33000651NS_Z2968WYY) has file system errors (No file system (32)) If the disk if XFS / REISERFS, stop the array, restart the Array in Maintenance mode, and run the file system checks.
