  1. I would like to add a vote for including the netatalk latest beta for us AFP folks - the current version is just not very good, rather have the BETA!
  2. Not sure what is going on - was copying a file to the UNRAID, and then got a copy error. Took the server down properly and rebooted, to no avail. Worked flawless until this moment. I checked all drives for SMART issues - none Attached is my LOG - can anyone please help get me back up and running? syslog-2011-04-19.txt
  3. Sorry for that late reply....This seems to work now - though still no integration of the parameters.....this is the max I seem to be able to achieve with my 3ware controller....
  4. I forgot to add one screenshot (below) - I did the add of the smartopt - but as you can see it seems like it get's confused by the spaces used (translates them as %20%)
  5. We're getting there! I think there is one more little thing wrong in your code...check the screens:
  6. I think you did the right thing, but took the wrong part of the serial?
  7. Thanks BJP999 - Attache dis what I see now. How about the suggestion I made above, would that not work easier: So here is how I can get the serial number of the drive "sda": smartctl -i -d 3ware,0 /dev/twa0 | grep "Serial Number" | head -n 1 | awk '{print $3}' Output: 5XW138R8 For drive "sdb" I would change 3ware,0 to 3ware,1 and... Output: 5XW17LVM
  8. I get your point - So I installed 5.0b6a - And ran both commands again.....I see some data in there that looks different, and am hopeful this may be helping! Thanks for your continued effort! lsbyid.txt mdstatus.txt
  9. I am installing 5.0b6a (had done that before) and will run the commands again. I have the 3ware 9650se-m8-24 it is a 24 port version, with cache, and battery backup unit....and indeed rather expensive...would hate it to be a wasted investment. With regards to your remark on drive letters changing...I have not seen that happen at all?
  10. So here is how I can get the serial number of the drive "sda": smartctl -i -d 3ware,0 /dev/twa0 | grep "Serial Number" | head -n 1 | awk '{print $3}' Output: 5XW138R8 For drive "sdb" I would change 3ware,0 to 3ware,1 and... Output: 5XW17LVM Can this help us to get a step closer?
  11. Now we are getting somewhere! I found this link that should help here: https://wiki.xkyle.com/3ware_Smart_Test
  12. Attached....thanks for helping here, I really appreciate you taking all this time! Ask me anything, I am your remote hands here! lsbyid.txt
  13. Our posting crossed! Time for an IRC chan for UNRAID enthousiasts? Requested file is attached mdstatus.txt

  15. First off: THANKS for helping! I tried it, but it does not seem to work, unless I am doing something wrong. I first did a clean install of unmenu, then the updates, and lastly overwrote the files and restarted unmenu.

  18. Thanks for your help and patience! So what WORKS in the console is this: smartctl -d 3ware,0 -a /dev/twa0 where 0 is the drive (so change to 1 gives smartinfo for "sdb", 2 for "sdc" etc
  19. @dgaschk I have put in a txtlog, remember though I am trying to get the "MyMAIN" working - NOT the console (as that works fine as you can see in the txtlog) 3ware_SMARTCTL_log.pdf
  20. Can you get it to work with /dev/sdX? Well the console version I used above DOES work with "smartctl -d 3ware,0 -a /dev/twa0" but *not* with "smartctl -d 3ware,0 -a /dev/sdA" - besides, where would I change that in the WEB interface?
  21. @bjp999 - Thanks for your offer to help! I must be doing something SIMPLE wrong? Below is what I did based on your post, but I don't see the result, not in the "MyMAIN" screen, nor when I press "SMART"?
  22. I am new to unraid and just purchased the PRO license. I run v4.7 I have the 3ware 9650se-24m8 and I have figured out in the console to get smartctl to show SMART status via: smartctl -d 3ware,0 -a /dev/twa0 Where 0 is the drive number. Now when I use UMENU or the normal //tower menu - I do not get to see the same SMART status, and I presume it is due to unraid standard setup not being the same as above. Q: How and where can I make settings so that my drives DO show up in webpages?
