  1. I've searched through the forums and most every VM pause issue is caused by space issues. I was having the same issue so I upgraded my cache to 2 x 1TB drives and placed it in RAID 1 (Not worried about losing these as I can rebuild). Anyhow, I have 2 x Windows 10 VMs, both are on the cache, each given a 100Gb vdisk, 4 CPU cores, 2 Gb inital memory and 4Gb of max memory. Aside from using different CPU cores they are identical machines. One of them however keeps pausing. There is nothing in the log for that machine that indicate anything. I'm at a loss as to what to check next. Attached is my diagnostics if it helps. unraid-diagnostics-20200525-1131.zip
  2. Just an update, PIA added some additional servers. ca-toronto still doesn't support port forwarding but ca-montreal and ca-vancouver do now so if you're experiencing speed issues using EU based servers, you can try moving back to a Canadian based server.
  3. Ok, I updated the openvpn config file directly from console and that did the trick. Not sure why editing the config in unRaid does not work
  4. I've gotten the same UI issue, and I'm aware of the PIA issue with port forwarding. I've switched to a different server that is currently in the supported list but every time I try to start the docker it still tries to connect to the old server I had listed prior to. Am I missing something as to how to force the update to happen?
  5. This is probably really simple but I'm not familiar with how Dockers actually work to even begin to know where to start. My server has 2 ethernet ports, I've only used one of them up until now. When I set up my unRaid server, I didn't think much of it but within my network settings my ports were set up as bonding, active-backup, with eth0 and eth1, and also bridging. This has all worked fine for over a year but now I have a need for that 2nd interface, eth2. So I stopped my containers and VMs, turned off bonding, but left bridging enabled. This works great for the VM that I need to use eth1 on but my dockers stop working. When I say stop working, from the docker screen they can't even establish a connection to try and update. Plex still lets me connect internally but externally through plex.tv is a no go. Some of my docker containers don't even let me connect to them while others let me connect however they have no access to the internet. I'm assuming it's because these containers are looking for that br0 connection that's established when setting up bonding. I don't know how to force them all to only use eth0 because I only need eth1 on that one VM i have setup. Thank you.
  6. Has anyone else had an issue where it's started removing torrents any time the docker is restarted? I've had it happen 4 or 5 times now over the last month. The data is still there and I just re-add the torrent and point it to the data and after it re-checks its fine. All of my torrents that I've had for over a month stay but anything added within the last month vanishes. It happens every weekend when my CA Backup runs and also has happened 2 times during power outages we've had due to bad weather. Normally, if it was only happening during the power outages then that'd make sense as it may have not saved the state of the docker but the fact that it has happened during backups as well is really odd to me.
  7. Recently my CouchPotato docker decided to crap out and I'm not sure why. I'm trying to fix it without having to rebuild it from scratch if it's at all possible. I don't know exactly when it crapped out as I don't check it all that often, it just does its thing and I leave it alone, but I went to add a movie today and found it wasn't behaving correctly. My Docker run command /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix.docker.manager/scripts/docker run -d --name="CouchPotato" --net="bridge" -e TZ="America/New_York" -e HOST_OS="unRAID" -e "PUID"="99" -e "PGID"="100" -p 5050:5050/tcp -v "/mnt/user/Storage/Videos/Temp/CompletedMovies/":"/downloads":rw -v "/mnt/user/Storage/Videos/Movies/":"/movies":rw -v "/mnt/user/Storage/":"/storage":rw -v "/mnt/user/appdata/CouchPotato":"/config":rw linuxserver/couchpotato f6a5fd43b7796d4bec5f13579dc5c82aa3b14c987075bd516d580b835d943e32 My CP docker log file [s6-init] making user provided files available at /var/run/s6/etc...exited 0. Before I tried restarting it several times I was getting a Errno 98, address in use error in both Docker and on my CP logs. I tried switching the port CP ran on at least through the docker but that didn't have any effect. I can get to my Web UI in CP and view my logs which is filled with 3 pages of errors every time I restart. A sample can be found in the attachment. One other thing I did notice, when I go to the edit screen of the docker the port is red which I imagine is an error of some sorts, maybe that the port is in use but no other docker is using this port. I even shut down docker and brought it back up with only CP running and it's still red. I ran a netstat -l on my unraid server to look and I see no mention of anything using port 5050. The most recent thing I did to my server prior to noticing this was to setup PlexPy but I think it was happening before then even, I just didn't notice it. Any suggestions?
  8. I like where you're thinking with that.. and that would make sense for the System share but the other is the one I'm most concerned with because it is actually removing directories that are empty but that I still use.. and it's "Use cache disk" is set to "yes" not Preferred so I'm still lost/concerned about that one
  9. I've recently started using unRaid and I've noticed a few directories that keep going missing and I couldn't figure out why I started looking through the system log and I found that a lot of directories are at least attempted to be removed. I can understand items within /mnt/cache/ as I would expect after mover to run that they'd be deleted but there are a lot others that just make no sense as in the following lines I'm finding Nov 16 18:43:41 unRaid shfs/user: err: shfs_rmdir: rmdir: /mnt/disk1/Storage/Games(39) Directory not empty Nov 16 03:44:27 unRaid shfs/user0: err: shfs_rmdir: rmdir: /mnt/disk1/system (39) Directory not empty Nov 16 03:44:27 unRaid shfs/user0: err: shfs_rmdir: rmdir: /mnt/disk1/system/docker (39) Directory not empty An empty folder within my Games directory is one that I noticed kept going missing and I'm not sure why Unraid is trying to remove all of these directories? Anyone that can offer any insight and how to stop this behavior?
  10. so I read up on netcat and found that I could run it using the netcat command instead. I tried multiple different ways but from my Fedora box all I get is connection refused. I think there is something (firewall?) blocking it from the UnRaid box. I'm think that it might not be worth it troubleshooting much more as I only have 500Gb or so left to transfer
  11. I'm not sure how to answer that as I don't know how to test a SCP transfer? My buddy told me that rsync can be slow when running over ssh and suggested I set up rsync-daemon on my fedora server so I did that and got it running, it was copying at ~60mb/s which is much faster than the 10. Unfortunately my session closed in the middle of the night and this morning I continued my sync and now its running at ~12MB/s using the exact same command. I'm using rsync -az rsync://[email protected]:xxxxx/storage /mnt/user/Storage/ --progress as for the commands you wanted me to try, I tried running the NC command on my unRaid box but it's not available. I looked into that and I believe it is netcat? So I installed netcat but the NC command still isn't available.
  12. And I've tested my transfer speeds to the source box, using SFTP I was getting ~60MB/s which is still 6 times faster than what I'm getting from my source to my Unraid box
  13. I did a test and set up a SMB share and copied a 13Gb file from my windows box to my Unraid, it was transfering at 100+MB/s
  14. That would make sense. Both adapters are reporting at 1000Mb/s, even if a cable was bad, would they still report at those speeds?
