  1. Thanks @JorgeB I will work through the link and see what I find, have a great day!
  2. Hi, My unraid server has been crashing recently, either a full crash that requires a reboot or partial where the array is stopped and it has to be restarted. I have been getting the following message in Fix Common Problems: Your server has detected hardware errors. You should install mcelog via the NerdPack plugin, post your diagnostics and ask for assistance on the unRaid forums. The output of mcelog (if installed) has been logged I think the issue is HDD related as I can hear some loud sounds from the array. I'm not sure where to start looking or what to look for, any assistance would be greatly appreciated, I have attached the log files from the system. The dashboard shows no issues with any of the drives Thanks Michael nirvana-diagnostics-20220113-0910.zip
  3. Hi, Sorry if this has already been covered elsewhere but I have searched and not found anything so far that fully explains how to do what I'm looking to do. My current setup has a router which provides my internet connection and WI-FI using DHCP and has my AppleTv's/phones/tablets etc connected via DHCP. My UnRaid server is connected via eth0 to the router with a reserved static address of 192.168.6.10. I then have 2 nics connected to the pfsense VM assigned for WAN (192.168.6.2) as a reserved address & LAN (192.168.6.3) as a reserved address which goes to a 5 port switch that has VLAN capabilities connected to a port on the router that has VLAN options. I need to keep the WI-FI and AppleTvs etc separate from my UnRaid system. I'm looking for a guide or advice to help with the following parts. I have setup the pfsense VM and I have setup the VPN in the pfsense VM. I need advice on how to complete the following. 1) Connect all of my current VM's & dockers via the pfsense VM? From my reading on the forums and the internet I think I need to do this via bridging using br0 or a new br number i.e. br1/2 etc that I create or possibly using VLAN's, which is the best way to do this? 2) I would like to avoid having DHCP issues with the devices currently on the network, would it be best to use br0/1/2 etc using a different IP address range that is assigned via DHCP from either unRaid or pfsense or using static addresses? My router currently hands out IP addresses via DHCP from 192.168.6.2/24 up to 100 (routers IP is 192.168.6.1/24). Would it be best to use br0 using 192.168.7.0/24 or a different range for the VM's & dockers within UnRaid? I hope this made sense, if you have any questions as to the setup and what I'm trying to achieve I'm happy to discuss this. I think I have the general idea correct I just need something to help pull it all together so it makes sense and I can follow on with the setup. Thanks Michael
  4. Hi, Thanks for the quick reply, the VM is using a Sapphire Radeon RX 460 4G NITRO Graphics Card, it's outputting to the GFX correctly but just freezes at the Lakka logo. I shall try the new system that you have done tonight and see how that goes. Thanks again for your help with this. Michael
  5. I have created a Lakka VM, upon restart the system gets to the Logo screen and then goes no further. Checking the VM log file I find the following entries: Domain id=8 is tainted: high-privileges Domain id=8 is tainted: host-cpu char device redirected to /dev/pts/0 (label charserial0) I have tried changing the CPU assignments and also removing all attached devices i.e. keyboards (wired/wireless), Microsoft X-Box wireless receiver etc but I still get the same error except that each time the Domain id number changes. I have looked around online but I have not found an answer that resolves the issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Michael
  6. Thanks for the video this looks like a great system. I have installed it as per the video, upon restart the system gets to the Logo screen and then goes no further. 7. Just to let you know I have VM's running with GPU pass through now. To do this i run unRAID in headless mode and the GPU pass through is great. I also added the vbios to the xml file for the vm's.
  8. Hi, Thanks for the update, I have tried outputting the rom from the RX460 and adding this via the xml, this has not resolved the issue. I'm still getting screen tearing that makes it impossible to use the system.
  9. Hi, Did you ever manage to resolve this issue? I have an AMD RX460 GPU and Windows 10 VM's keep having display issues, when it loads the display has lines all over it and as you move the mouse or try to use the keyboard this gets worse and worse until eventually you can't see anything at all. VNC versions work fine, so does Ubuntu. I have tried changing the BIOS to seabios and the Machine type to the Q35 option but I have the same results. I came across another post that recommended adding the rom file to the xml which I did but this is from techpower, I will try the process to get a rom from the GPU this weekend when I can borrow a 2nd GPU to do this. Which VM settings did you have success with? Thanks for any help and advice that you might have. Michael
