Never seen this as a bios setting/option, auto shutdown for overheating CPU yes. That could be it too. I noticed i had plex running and cpu's were at max OMG you are a genius tho! that has to be the issue. damn this room being too hot

It might also be my drives over heating. I have a 1000W PSU in there that i install less than year ago. Unraid i was running windows server with Hyper v and alot more machines on it with no symptoms like this. It literally started when i started using Unraid. So possible causes im thinking while looking at server is hd over heating and auto reboot out of safety. Maybe its a bios setting. Cache drive filling up and causing a reboot. Or dockers using to much resources causing a reboot. I remember there was a page that displayed the cpu/memory/disk usage of dockers but i cant find anymore.

So right now im using 64GB ssd as cache drive but its soo small seems like. I have a 500GB ssd and 500GB hd in my machine. Would it be dumb to setup the 500GBSSD as first drive then the standard 500gb drive as second one. Would that slow down speeds mixing with a non ssd?

Put it into troubleshooting mode. Then logs, diagnostics, and some extra info will get saved onto the flash drive on an ongoing basis up to the crash. Then you can upload the info to see what everyone here thinks Before I do that is docker putting data on memory? Because ive been monitoring ram usage and over time the free memory goes down. Is this a setting i have? Like i just started it an array isnt started but my free memory is already 200mb free. 22.32 cached and 1.79 gb used. Not sure what these values mean entirely.

It seems when i restart transmission it looses all the settings set in UI. Is this on purpose? i notice the settings.json file isnt updating.

Is there a way to see why unraid randomly rebooted? i tried looking at the syslog but seems like that clears up old stuff when restarts. If it means anything im still on trial key with 23 days left.

Hello! I just started using Unraid and it seems ive run into an issue. Let me start off with my array configuration. I dont have a parity drive yet but I will be adding one. For Array Devices i have 2 3TB drives and 2 4TB drives Then my Cache Devices i have Cache:64GB ssh then Cache 2 is a 250GB ssd. Now i need help understanding cache drive. Is it dumb that i have a 64GB ssd with a 250gb ssd? When does it move the files off the cache drive? I thought it would be instantly when it gets full.

So i got sonarr setup with transmission and it adds the files fine but it seems like when torrent is finished it deletes the file. Is this a bug? I want to let the files seed. Settings: Completed Download Handling:Enable:True Remove: No Importing:Use Hardlinks Instead of copy:No I cant seem to find any other settings that would matter for this. is it because i have Drone Factory enabled?

Hey All! So i just discovered this AMAZING software. I never knew there was something like this out there. Previously i was running a Hyper V server. Then under that i was running Windows Home server with Drive Bender on it to pool all my drives because they were all difference sizes. Then i had some linux/windows vms under it. One of my linux vms was mainly for media. It hosted plex media server and utorrent. I had utorrent set up rss downloading and then i had scripts that would watch for downloads and extract them. Then if they were movies or tvshows it would move them to my Media folder and use filebot to rename them accordingly. Ever since looking at Unraid it seems people have been doing what im doing for a while except with beautiful UI's. Right now i setup Sonarr and CouchPotato. Those are great when i want to add a tvshow or movie. My first question is what torrent program do you recommend? I have deluge,rutorrent, and transmission installed but cant decide which. Now before you answer let me tell you how i had it before. I had a script that would monitor a Torrent folder. Now in this folder there were subdirectories like /Torrent/Movies /Torrent/TVShows /Torrent/WindowsPrograms. With this structure my script would tell utorrent to downoad the file to /Downloads/Movies or /Downloads/TVShows and so on. Is it possible to achieve this with these new programs? i noticed Transmission allows you to watch 1 directory so it would only save them to /Downloads. Then rutorrent you can setup schedules and Deluge has AutoAdd. Basically im wondering if anyone has done the same thing and what they recommend me using?
