  1. I’m also planning a Ryzen build. Want to get a 1600(X) and I need about 6 SATA Ports (at least if it could a problem to use an additional SATA PCIE Card?). My biggest concern is IOMMU, because I want to run a Mac OS VM on it. First I thought it should be capable of gaming as well, but it would be enough if I can use the Mac OS VM for daily Office work and some photoshop from time to time, so nothing fancy...

Can someone recommend a board, so I can separate the GPU as well as a PCIE WiFi card and at least one USB port?

  2. Yesterday I’ve tried to get a macOS VM up and running, just for testing purposes right now, because my HP Gen8 (Celeron G1610T) won’t be powerful enough to seriously use it.

So I created a high sierra stick. Installed Clover onto it (newest version, also showing up APFS, APFS patched? and HFS Plus), but I was able to also select OsxAptioFix3Drv? Should I select this one or still “version” 2? I tried both so far...

After that I did everythink like I was told to in the space invader one video. I did only skip the fakeSMC kext part, since that shouldn’t be of any use anymore because qemu 2.9?everything else should be the same like in the video?

After that I’ve put the stick in my HP machine and created an image. I’ve the created the VM and did modify the xml like I’m told to.

Clover starts, but booting the installation process gets stuck at about 2/3...

    Any suggestions?:)

  3. Thanks, didn’t know that a high end gpu only needs that little power when idle. And it’s also not bad (durability-wise) for gpu and cpu running 24/7 in idle?

I was actually thinking about an Ryzen CPU, sounds very interesting right now, but I wasn’t aware of power consumption differences between amd and intel.

I guess the biggest problem will be a “golden” macOS VM ? I will do some research, which parts combined could work, but my biggest concern right now was/is the durability of high end and therefore expensive hardware, when running 24/7 (don’t want to replace a 1080 ti after two years, because it ran in idle all the time)

  4. Hi there,

I have an unRaid Server (HP Gen8) since over a year and an iMac 2012... I'm just thinking if if it would be clever to combine my home computer and my NAS server in just one powerful device. The reason I'm a bit skeptical is the hardware running 24/7. Would it be bad (and power inefficient) if I would use a powerful machine for just being a NAS most of the time and running Windows or Mac (as VM) only a few hours per day, maybe even not every day? So what I'm saying is, should I use two computers (server and home) or shouldn't it matter in terms of power consumption and hardware "wear"?

  5. Also got the curl error, but just had to change my endpoint, now it's working again!

But by the way, is this notification in my log normal "WARNING: file 'credentials.conf' is group or others accessible"? As far as I can tell, there's only my Pia login saved into, so I tried deleting it and restarting delugevpn. Of course the file got created again, but the notification still pops up...

  6. Hi there,

for some time I was bridging eth0 and eth1 on my unraid server, but now didn't need it anymore. So I stopped the array and disabled bridging. Since then I'm not able to choose "custom br0" as network type for my dockers. I've tried nearly everything, but it won't show up. I've disabled and enabled "custom" in the docker settings, disabled and enabled bridging in my network settings. I've even updated to 6.5.1-rc3. But the best I can do right now is to disable bridging and then I get at least "custom eth0".

Is anybody experiencing their server completely unresponsive whenever Sabnzbd is unpacking? Honestly, I'm not sure if this is a problem with Sabnzbd or Radarr. Whenever a movie is finished downloading and unpacking, it completely freezes my server, where docker containers' WebGUI are unresponsive and Plex stops streaming a movie.

Once it is unpacked, everything starts up again.

Yes, i have the exact same problem. Doesn't matter whether I'm using Sab or Nzgbet... I'm not using a SSD as cache yet, but I don't think that that's the main problem.

I've read something about CPU wait for I/O time in an other thread, but even limiting my CPU and Memory resources by using a docker command doesn't solve the problem :/
