  1. Replay worked. Took a while to get the job to complete, but it finished just fine, cleaned up after itself etc...
  2. Yeah, job didn't complete. I had to move the tower over to it's normal spot, which means i had to shut it down etc. The job was about a third of the way through a long move, and i couldn't wait. Ok, so that explains how i got dupes, and i'll have to keep in mind that this happens for next time. Now i need to figure out the best way to clean this up. About 2tb worth of data was transferred, so i have 2tb of dupes i need to get rid of. All the dupes are between drives 1 and 7. 7 had an additional 3tb already on it before the move began. What's my best option for cleaning this up ?
  3. Second time using this plugin. First time was like half a year ago, and it worked flawlessly then. This time, however, i believe i may've run into a problem. I have a 9 drives plus 2 parity array (11 total) all 8tb each. 3 of the drives were recently added, and i wanted to empty out disk 1 to disk 7 and 8. I setup a scatter/move (not copy) operation to that. Everything seemed to be working ok, i could see drive 7 slowly filling up etc. After about 2tb of files transferred, i noticed that the free space on drive 1 wasn't changing. It was 6tb full, with 2 tb empty when started, and after transferring over 2tb worth of files it was still 6tb full and 2 tb empty etc. I also noticed that now both disk 1 and disk 7 contained the same files across multiple directories, so i had dupes. In other words, it looks like Unbalance has copied files (not moved) from disk 1 to disk 7 and now i have 2 tb worth of dupes on both drives. How do i "de-dupe" ?
  4. i'm still struggling with this. i tried every suggestion i could find on the forums, but the problem persists. what makes it even more confusing is that i seem to have no issues with some of the public folders at all. so basically i have one windows machine that can access all the public folders with full priviliges, and the other that can only do that with about half the folders. it just makes no sense, and i seem to keep going in circles. very frustrating.
5. Like the title says, i'm having some weird permissions problems with a new install of win 7. I'm in the process of moving over from a really old win 7 pc to a slightly less old win 7 pc. The "newer" pc has a clean install of windows etc etc. I needed to delete some random junk NZBGet left behind on Unraid. No problem, browse over to the server, find the folder, junk the files etc. Works like a charm on my old machine, but for some reason my new one keeps getting a weird "you require permissions from Plexbox/nobody" error (Plexbox is the name of my unraid server). To make things even more confusing, this same "newer" machine is currently running MCEBuddy which i use to process files located on Plexbox. As part of the process MCEBuddy deletes the original file and replaces it with a converted version. It seems to have zero issues deleting files. I have gone back and forth between the two pc's to make sure all the network settings(like workgroup name, sharing options etc) are identical, and it looks like they are. I also seem to have no other issues with any shares on other pc's on my home network. I've been at it for a few hours now, and i'm ready to give up. I know i'm probably missing something simple here, but i can't for the life of me figure out what it is. At this point, any help would be greatly appreciated.
  6. Yes, it looks like that's what i have to do, but it's also what i'm trying to avoid because i think i'm over complicating things. Like i said, new to Unraid, so trying to find my way around. My tower holds 15 mechanical hdds, the goal is to end up with 12x3tb (2 parity 11 data) as main array , 1 1tb as downloader, and another 1tb as cache or "lander". If i leave this array without a cache drive the writes will be slow. So i want a separate mechanical hdd to act as cache to speed things up. I am specifically trying to avoid using the ssd for this purpose, because i will need to fill about 25 tb or so off the bat, and then this machine will remain active as i organize/delete/move new stuff over from the two old win desktops that i'm trying to retire. The point is, right off the bat i'll be putting 25tb through the 256gb ssd. I'm too lazy to do the math, but that's a lot of cycles for the ssd to go through, and is just unnecessary. A mechanical hdd would make a perfect "landing drive" for the array, which is exactly what it is when set to cache - at least that's how i understand it so far. The problem for me then is that to keep the ssd "virgin" from all that data moving through the array i have to mount it as an unassigned device. This will complicate things a lot for configuring dockers, and is overall not advisable from what i have read so far.
  7. Sab leaves junk behind. Yeah, a lot of it could be auto cleaned by playing with some settings, but the fact that it will leave junk behind is inevitable. Something didn't unrar, unpar or most likely wasn't named properly etc... I kind of like having it on it's own drive for that reason. Easier to maintain long term.
  8. Playing around with the trial copy. So far i have a simple 4 drive array going - 3x3tb (2 data one parity) and one 1tb as cache. Installed Plex, Sab, Sonarr and Radarr in Docker and while it was a bit confusing at first, they are all talking to each other nicely, and doing what they're supposed to etc. Basically, so far so good type of thing... Not sure how to handle my next step, though. I want to add two more drives, 1tb hdd and a 250gb ssd. The 1tb is meant to be used by sab exclusively as a download drive. Sab's complete/incomplete folders will be located there and all the post processing (unrar/par) will be done on that drive exclusively. The ssd is meant exclusively for docker images, plex metadata/transcode folders etc. So the plan is to have have the 1tb setup as an unassigned tevice, and have sab use that. Then have sonarr/radarr grab the file which will then move it to the 1tb cache drive already in the pool, without any part of that data landing on the ssd. Reverse on the ssd - docker, plex meta/transcode only, without any media files making their way over. I think i need to set the media share to only use the 1tb cache drive and ignore the ssd, but not sure how.
