  1. even though I thought I double checked logs. I set both to limit the logs and it cleared up my issue just in case someone else comes across this post. --log-opt max-size=50m --log-opt max-file=1
  2. So I will preface this by I only know enough to be dangerous but my docker keeps filling up and I am not sure why. I have Delugevpn setup from binhex and sab. I been trying to gimp by on a 120gb ssd for last year or so as my cache but with this went out and bought a 1tb ssd and even started fresh with all my cache/dockers just to know I "set it up right" but doing same thing. I am currently downloading some decent size "linux iso's" 3tb on sab on 1tb on deluge so not sure if something is being cached that I am not seeing cause well I barely know what I am doing haha. I checked out what I could of the FAQ and made sure downloads were outside of my dockers. I included pics of what I thought may be pertinent. I just had to expand the docker image to 200gb to even get them to open to take the pics.
  3. So to be completely honest this build has been gimped along about 5 times now with replacement boards/cpu/ram and looking for a better solution i hope. So where I am at now is about 5 months ago I had a handful of drives going so at that time I decided it was time to move from a pc case with hotswap bays to a server case. that went well other than I did not think through the fans and the current board there is no way for pwm fans to work without adapter to pull it from the cpu one. This should not be a issue and just go into the bios and set the fans to just run full throttle. well the bios is non accessible on this board anymore it just locks up if you try. I have attempted the resets and such as well. So now it sits in my server closet with AC/box fan running to keep it at proper temp. So with that long rambling story I am looking to just replace the board/cpu/ram with something that will hopefully function same as what I have if not better and hopefully be a bit more reliable. I use the unraid for quite a few things such as plex/sonarr/radarr/sab/deluge/crashplan/openvpn/pihole CPU: i5-3350P @ 3.10Ghz Mobo: Asus P8H61-M LE Ram: 16Gb DDR3 (This was my son's pc I stole after the i7/32gb of a similar build crapped out on me last summer) I am running a SAS card out of the pci-e other than that there is nothing really special with this. I would at some point like to have virtual machines but I think that is a job for a new build when budget permits.
  4. did you get this fixed? I am having same issue now.
  5. Thank you that is what I wanted to hear, looking on ebay seems i only have a few to choose from with sellers with kinda ok feedback. thanks again for your input!
  6. ok after some more research which I should of done to begin with to be honest.. it sounds like it is the sata controller cards fault. Anyone have a suggestion for an alternative that wont break the bank? I need 16 ports. https://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/R3AOHV2LS9VXLR/ref=cm_cr_dp_d_rvw_btm?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B0177GBY0Y#wasThisHelpful EDIT: looking at the LSI SAS9201-16i any thoughts on that before I bite the bullet as about 75$ more than I already spent on last failure.
  7. here are the smart test logs for all my current drives minus flash and cache. My 4TB drives are connected to the motherboard the 1, 2, 3TB drives are hooked to the controller card. 8. So new to the joys of unRAID but been muddling through I was on windows 10 being used as a sever before hand. with that being said I been slowly (sometimes painfully slowly) moving my data into unRAID. I just finished a preclear on a 4tb drive and went to add it and said I could not as it was larger than my parity (also 4tb) so I sucked it up and moved the parity drive to my array and set my freshpre clear to be the new parity. It is maxing out at 9MB/s for the rebuild process which seems like it is wrong. my local disk transfers were pegged between 20MiB to 500Kib a sec using unassigned devices and Krusader. When I switched over to unraid I took that time to update some of the system (Sata controller card, more memory, hot swap bays etc) I am just not sure what to check or what could be going on. I have attached my info screenshot as well as my array and parity info. the hot swap bays are: ICY DOCK FatCage MB155SP-B x3 sata cables are: RELPER 6pcs SATA III 6.0 Gbps Cable with Locking Latch (blue) x15 sata 10 port pci-e card is: Ableconn PEX10-SAT 10 Port SATA 6G PCI Express Host Adapter Card hopefully someone can give me some insight here as I think I am going nuts trying to pinpoint the bottleneck.
