  1. I just upgraded my os from 6.9.2(old i know) to 6.11.5 and i am now getting errors in console and webui, i have tried booting in safe mode and they are still there. any help deciphering what the cause of these issues would be helpful. as i post this (with Diag) i am dead in the water My Rig: Mobo- SuperMicro x9drd-7ln4f-JBOD Proc- 2x Intel Xeon E5-2690 v1 Ram- 96gb ecc 10600 Drives- Array - 20 8tb (2 Parity) Cache - 2x Samsung 970evo 2tb (BTRFS Mirror) on riser board in single 8x slot Boot - 32g usb Cache2 (gamer) Intel 1.6tb pcie nvme jarvlos-diagnostics-20230101-1419.zip
  2. Marked as Solved. Changed Docker to have DHCP server for Br4 (10Gbe), Configured the offending container to use Br0 with no static IP and grab an allocation from Docker itself. no issues after 18 hours of up time curiously I did still got one MACVLAN error in the syslog. hope that doesn't comeback to haunt me. 🤞 jarvlos-syslog-20210812-1738.zip
  3. So as a precaution (likely not needed) I ran the included memtest in unraid. To no ones surprise it completed 1 pass, I know that one set of data does not make a trend but can be a better start than not starting anywhere. However I did have a docker with a static IP, though the static mapping is not "required" in the way that I "Have" to have that IP, moreover I do need that docker to run on the interface that corresponds with that subnet due to large network transfers on the other interface. It is one of my goals to get myself a smart switch and use VLans to further segment the network and have more control with systems that I think should run in the background almost invisible, save for system updates (we all love 'em)🙄. But as of yet I don't have one. The information i gathered from the response's of ChatNoir and JorgeB, and links, I have made some changes to my picky docker container to use the interface I want it to and not giving it a static address i created a dhcp pool inside docker and made nesseary changes to my pool for that net currently got mt fingers crossed. will update title after a few preliminary days of trial. thx guys
  4. I've Had UNRAID for some time now, but as of late(past week or two) almost like clockwork my server takes a dump each day. in the past i have made no effort to dig down to the root cause, however now it is becoming a nuisance. I will attach my syslog's that I hope have an answer. the server will be running and doing things according to "top" from the webterminal and direct terminal, however I can not get the webgui to reboot/shutdown after 30min I get restless and snuff out the poor thing off, wait a few moments and power it back on. I've tried to stop docker and the array from the webgui to no luck, even tried "powerdown" from direct console from the server and again 30min passes and I kill the power myself. it would seem as though when the server crashes in this manor it takes the entire system. If anyone can glean information to help my situation, I would be eternally grateful. syslog8.1.2021 jarvlos-diagnostics-20210810-1953.zip
  5. I'm not sure if this is a problem or if its just me. I have been using this container for some time and have always wondered why when I add files to the share (in large quantities Multiple GB's), My server becomes almost unresponsive to the point I believe it has tanked. Looking into the logs merit nothing I can discern that would point to a problem. however I have noticed that when I do add files (again multiple GB's) there is a LARGE amount of data loaded into a swap file for this container (15+ GB). now my server has 96GB of ram and uses approx. 12% of that is in use and also that it seems to only allocate 500MB in ram. Am I just mistaken or is there indeed something (not)happening. I discovered this from NetData
  6. you know that feeling when you actually stop and think about it and go "F@#K it was that simple" left field blank and all is working now
  7. So about a week ago I installed a 10g card into my server, got it up and running fine and dandy. however now that I have rebooted my server it can no longer communicate with the internet on the 1gbe (eth0) and instead is trying to use my new 10g (eth4). have tried everything that has come to mind when it come to this, alas I have next to no experience with Linux and configuring routes. my last idea if this doesn't work is to trash my new 10g network😭. I can still communicate with the server over both networks, unraid just cant seem to find WAN My setup is as follows eth0 (1gbe) [192.168.1.22/24] <-> (dumb) Switch <-> (OP PfSense) Router eth4 (10g) [10.10..10.2/24]<-> mikrotik crs309-1g-8s+in <-> Lan Computers (no access to WAN) jarvlos-diagnostics-20210414-1245.zip
  8. Unfortunately I am using a old hp Z600 workstation I found online for a good price. I do however have a new server that is not in production that will be replacing the Z600. And it's a supermicro cse-847 w/ X9DRD-7LN4F-JBOD, Just need to source the active coolers that I need to keep it cool and quiet after i replace the 7k/rpm fans with Noctua IPPC 120/140mm Fans. Provided that I don't stretch my wallet to thin.😁
  9. Sure thing. let me know if there is any more. jarvlos-diagnostics-20200902-1618.zip
  10. Okay I've made some changes and fixed filling my docker image.😁 reconfigured the offender no longer filling image 🥳 That was possibly a unrelated problem I was working on at the time of the initial reason for this post, the hardware error. I've looked in the main syslog and all I can find in there is this LN# 2336 - Aug 12 02:26:22 Jarvlos kernel: EDAC MC1: 1 CE error on CPU#1Channel#0_DIMM#0 (channel:0 slot:0 page:0x0 offset:0x0 grain:8 syndrome:0x0) And a couple or other entries after that but no mention of anything I know of to help that can read into, other than maybe one (or more) of my DIMM's might be on the way out. Not super knowledgeable when it comes to ECC memory, so I would love to be wrong and this is just normal.
  11. I've Been setting up some docker applications when the server started to act funny. lost communication with all my dockers and the main unraid ui was broken. was able to log out and back in to fix that issue and restart the array and BAM everything is back. or so i thought, about 20 or so minutes pass and the same thing happened again. any help would be great. jarvlos-diagnostics-20200901-0143.zip
