  1. Work is currently e-wasting some pretty decent hardware that is better than what I have at home, so why not upgrade? Configuration of what I'll be moving into: 2x E5-2697V3 768GB RAM (DDR4 ECC) 32x 2.5" drive bays As many 500GB SSDs as I want (failed project to revive some old PCs... all SSDs have less than 3 months of use) 1x A4000 graphics card 1x P2000 graphics card How I would like to use this, and some context. Before I got my current server I used my old gaming PC to host unRaid, and passed through my graphics card to a windows VM so I could still game. This worked great for a while until I started sharing Plex with some family members, gaming was fine until I was playing something intense and several people started streaming, then I would get stutters in game. So I moved Plex to my current server (An older HP workstation with a Xeon, and the P2000) These E5-2697 V3s benchmark and passmark higher than my current gaming CPU, and the A4000 is leaps and bounds ahead of my current gaming GPU... so why not go back to the combined build again? What's going to be the recommended array/disk configuration for 32 SSD? My Plex library isn't very big, I don't add things too often and when I do it's always 1080p for movies and 720p for TV shows. I've read that SSDs in the actual array seems to be frowned upon, but I've never done anything with pools so I have no idea how the redundancy or configuration would go with those. I also currently host a Debian VM with AMP from CubeCoders for a Minecraft server for friends, and sometimes we will add other game servers temporarily while we play things together. Other than that, its just a handful of dockers for torrents, airsonic for music streaming, Plex, and a discord bot to stream music for us while we play games and such. I guess here is a list of "wants" for this build: P2000 assigned to Plex for handling transcodes Debian VM for game servers Docker allocation for Plex, Airsonic, torrents, discord bot, and room to grow with other things Windows VM with A4000 assigned for gaming Whatever everyone would think is best for pools on the SSDs Any help, links to guides, or suggested configurations for these 32 SSDs would be greatly appreciated!
