  1. Yes (like I said its on my KVM console in my rack), in the case when I set a static IP, I can see it. When I tried DHCP it wouldn't grab an address (this was tried the other night). I did forget to mention, its is currently set up with a network bond with 2 RJ45 connections on the back of the motherboard. To specify further when I use the static address to connect from a browser it times out/wont connect/doesn't show up in my router.
  2. *Bump. I'm on now, looking to troubleshoot the issue.
  3. First things first, I need to clarify the server has been offline for over a year (most of the important data has been moved to my TrueNAS server as that is my new active storage) I plan to downgrade the 45drives chassis I have from SAS 3 to SATA and reporpose unraid as a storage mirror/backup. I can't connect to the web UI, the IP address I had used at setup has been reallocated to another device (I've restructured my network with new equipment this past year and divided up sections of static IP addresses for different device types so I expanded the block for networking devices (switches, AP's, etc...) and the old address was in that group. (example: 192.X.X.51 - 192.X.X.70 could be printers while 192.X.X.71 - 192.X.X.81 could be servers). For whatever reason Unraid is not playing nice with an IP address change it seems to have a seizure and forget it's on a network, whether I set another static IP, or switch it over to DHCP. http://tower doesn't resolve either, when I set DHCP it wouldn't grab an IP, when I set a static I couldn't connect nor did it sow up in my router. One thing at a time lets get the network issues above fixed first, but after that; (working from a KVM console) the storage wont mount, it says Wrong/Device to be encrypted, the disks were already encrypted I don't think I want to reformat them yet, There are still some things I want to move over that I couldn't initially due to not having as much space on the TrueNAS server initially, I think an abrupt power down may have caused this, we had a brief time of unstable power, I ended up keeping them offline after that, but now that I have enough space I want to move the rest over if possible. It's not life or death if I can move whats left on there over, but it would save me a headache. If I don't respond tonight it's because I'm posting before going to bed I'll be on tomorrow to check response.
  4. CLI using the "cryptsetup luksAddKey" followed by "cryptsetup luksRemoveKey" commands, got it! Sorry for the slow reply and thank you!
  5. Hello, TLDR (and its still kind of a long story even though I'm abridging it); ckdisk ran on my Windows system without my knowledge when I stepped away while rebooting. It broke my VROC array, I lost my most recent saves of my KPDB. At the same time the encrypted partition of my nitro key was corrupted by my mothers MAC, there was apparently a Firmware bug I was not aware of that caused this. I managed to find a semi-recent backup of my passwords, however, still lost my 2FA keys had to email a bunch of services I use to get my accounts back. This has been a quarter of my year spent on this mess. Anyways, I'm modifying my back up strategy a bit to prevent these issues in the future. More or less my question is can I change the XFS encryption password, My server has not been offline since it all happened, and I do not trust myself or the backup of my passwords with the string of bad luck I've been having this year. I would like to avoid using the mover method if possible, I can afford and extra pair of HDD's at the moment. If the password is changeable, where would I find that setting? if not I will have to hold off until I can afford extra disks to shuffle the data around with the mover.
  6. Awesome, thank you! let me start it up then when I get home from my uncles this afternoon and I will update you on the status.
  7. It is the same disk, the only thing that may have changed is the SAS slot its in may have been changed to another unpopulated one (I'm on the old 45drives chassis finicky cables that stop working) but in unraid the disk order is the same. The thing that is concerning me is when I try to mount the disk, unraid says it will over write all my data on my disk when it already is encrypted and has my data on it. So absolutely sure I can just mount it and start the array then without issue? Also sorry for the long delay to respond been kinda sick to my stomach since getting home.
  8. Sorry for the delay just got back again, here is the downloaded diagnostic after starting the array. tower-diagnostics-20201003-1812.zip
  9. Here are the diagnostics and a snip of the in browser push notification error. I need to meet someone to pick up the cat5e cable I ordered, I will be back in 30 minutes to an hour. tower-diagnostics-20201003-1558.zip
  10. Sorry for the late reply I had to run an errand. I'm not considering making that mistake, that's why I made the forum post before proceeding. I'm not really sure what to do in this situation, I've never had a single disk from the array randomly decide they are no longer part of an array that I've had running without issue for over a year. The reason I said that is literally what the array devices page is suggesting I do in that screenshot. I am well aware that would cause more issues than I am currently having. I have to start the server back up, I will send diagnostics after.
  11. Hello, I had recently took my rack offline to redo the cable management. After rebooting one of my three XFS Encrypted (Data) disks (not my 2 parody) is not recognized by unraid as an existing disk and is suggesting to format it when I start the array. I would like to avoid a complete format parity rebuild if possible since it should be unnecessary due to the fact no information changed on the disks, it's only not being recognized as part of the array for some reason. tower-syslog-20201003-1858.zip tower-syslog-20201003-1359.zip
  12. The seller contacted me and specified that it is an expander only, it requires a separate controller for the disks. There were other listings that suggested they were controllers. Such is the strife of used hardware I suppose... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  13. I recently purchased a pair of LENOVO 00LF095 36port 12Gbps SAS Expander baugl Adaptec AEC-82885T Neuware HBA's, and just finished installing them. However, they are not being detected (HBA or disks) by unraid. I am on a supermicro motherboard (Sky Lake--E with C620 chipset), so I am not sure if the compatibility is with my motherboard or with unraid itself. Also need to note, I have tried searching the web, nothing really relevant to the HBA I am attempting to switch to, and unraid OS specifically.
  14. It seems stable so far, web pages are loading. If I don't have any issues in the morning, I will request to mark this post as resolved.
  15. Well the first time around after reboot, as I said above, it did not recognize the encryption on the array. The only thing that changed the second time around was I uninstalled the extensions while the array was running, rather than prior to starting the array like the last attempt to remove the extensions.
  16. Extremely odd but it seems to have fixed itself after a reboot. I guess I wont have to reinstall the nerdpack extensions
  17. First thing though I will try to reboot first just to see if it is still broken, then if it is I will reinstall extensions and reboot again.
  18. You may be right, after uninstalling nerd pack again and halting the array (basically reversed the order of my last attempt to uninstall nerdpack extensions), the option to start the array is missing completley. I need to pinpoint which extention is conflictiong, and figure out how to disable it without breaking my array.
  19. I have not yet tried safe mode. I am not sure why it did that, I will try to uninstall them again while the array is up.
  20. OKAY, Reinstalled nerd pack extensions, rebooted my array is back. I have to figure out which extensions are asociated with FDE. I nearly had a heart attack. If anyone knows which extensions I need to keep, it would be appreciated.
  21. It started telling me my encrypted disks are not encrypted and they are to be encrypted, I need help ASAP, I don't want to loose the contense of my server. I don't want to touch anything until I pinpoint hte issue.
  22. I went through and uninstalled all nerd pack extentions for now, if I still see the issue at some point today/tonight, I will post tonight/tomorrow afternoon. If not I will reequest to mark this tread as resolved.
  23. Looking through, I remember what I did here now. The intent was to have them installed and up to date, then toggel them on as needed, I don't know how the all got toggled on. I the mentality to keep things available incase I need them (Suddenlink has had a lot of outages since the pandemic so I would like to keep what I can locally).
