  1. How are your impressions with pyload ?

The program is very solid. No crashes or problems with downloading. An exception is the unrar, this works only with small files: 700mb working/30gb+ not working.

But there are several things I am missing:

-I can not see an ETA of my packages or my entire download list.

-I can not sort the packages manually. In the Queue windows you can change the order by dragging a package with the mouse, but if I change the window for example go to downloads and then back to queue, the order I chose is reverted back to the old. So I can not sort my downloads for my personal priority :/

-I can not move 2 packages into one or a new package.

Does anyone have tips for my problems or is there an other download manager ? I couldn't find one :(

  2. Can sickbeard understand what I've downloaded? The problem is that I download winrar archieves and when they are extraceted the name does not every time have the same construction and I download both, TV shows and movies which have to be transfere to different shares.

So what I've found the best method is to try with putty and a "nohup mv ....." command

Please correct me if I'm wrong with my impressions about sickbeard.

  3. I checked my USB disk on my Windows mashine and it there were some error which are fixed now.

Then I did another reiser check which reportet errors so I tried to fix them and it reports that:

Is my file Star Wars Episode I ok, again ?

After the try to fix it I make again a reiser check and no curroptions were found :)

But I cannot copy to that disk :(

  4. I made a mistake....now it's successfully running:

Reiserfs journal '/dev/md3' in blocks [18..8211]: 0 transactions replayed

3 found corruptions can be fixed when running with --fix-fixable

reiserfsck finished at Sat Sep 17 13:51:55 2011

    then I used "reiserfsck --fix-fixable /dev/md3":

    reiserfsck --fix-fixable started at Sat Sep 17 13:53:37 2011

    So is erverything OK ?

  5.

    It reports:

reiserfs_open: the reiserfs superblock cannot be found on /dev/sdc.

    Failed to open the filesystem.

If the partition table has not been changed, and the partition is

valid  and  it really  contains  a reiserfs  partition,  then the

superblock  is corrupted and you need to run this utility with

    --rebuild-sb.

SATA Controller: 2x http://www.asrock.com/mb/spec/Card.us.asp?Model=SATA3%20Card (But the HDD is on the onboard controller)

  7. Ok heres my Problem:

I want to copy some Isos (around 50gb) to my array. But Windows 7 says INSTANTLY "Theres a problem accessing \\tower\Filme Make shure you are connected to the network and try again" So I spammed the "try again" button, spun up all disks, but no change.

The strange thing is that alle the time unraid is responsive, I can even browse to my shares!

Then I copy the file directly to a disk 3 (That's the disk unraid want to copy it because of the Allocation method most-free) and the same error on windows.

But now I try it to copy on another disk and hey it's copying!

Before I copied ~1,5TB Data on disk 3 and at copying (I was about to copy 2TB) the error message came up.

After reboot I noticed read and writes on that disk: 54485 reads and 49 writes.

The Syslog shows this and I don't know what that means:

    Sep 16 15:52:20 Tower shfs/user: duplicate object: /mnt/disk6/Filme/Transformers (2007).ISO

Sep 16 15:53:37 Tower last message repeated 6 times

Sep 16 15:55:00 Tower last message repeated 6 times

Sep 16 15:56:38 Tower last message repeated 2 times

    Why duplicate ?

My Share hast Split level 3

    like

    -sharename (Filme)

    -Moviename

    Allocation method: most-free

Network Setup: Windows 7 mashine -> WRT 54GS Linksys Router -> unRaid

The disk is a WD20ears unjumpered and successfully prelcear without errors.

  8. I have the Asus E35M1-M (so NOT the Pro Version) running Beta 12a and really no problems. I transfered already 3,5TB via LAN to my array and no Problems (have to say that I used only 100mbit LAN).

    BIOS Version is latest 1002.

So imo nothing against this Board.

On another Forum there are two user with the Pro Version of the board, latest BIOS and unraid V4.7 without problems.

  9. While Parity check I'm getting multiple errors on one drive.

    Using latest Beta 12a

    The Syslog shows this:

  10. I installed V0.9b, then all the menu items were lined up on the left side. So I cleared the cache and everything looked as it should.

But after a reboot it looks like before (lined up on the left). So I cleared the cache again, and it looks like the stock UI.

So what am I doing wrong ?

I think I got it: On the Flash drive I created a folder "extra" and put there the tgz file. Read this at this post.

  11. Thanks!

    Smart Status: Failing

Get data off disk and run advanced tests below for more information

SMART Information: Short INQUIRY response, skip product id

A mandatory SMART command failed: exiting. To continue, add one or more '-T permissive' options.

SMART Extended Test: Disk must be spun up before running tests

I used the option "spin up" on the mainmenum, but the SMART Extended Test says the same.

    //edit:

I changed power and sata cable and there are no errors in the first few minutes. I report back! Thanks again!

  12. Suddenly my parity disk went red. So I stopped the array, marked parity check and started the array. After that the unraid gui went short unresponsive and after a few seconds the array is started without the parity, which gets 384 Errors.

I don't know the reason for the errors, so I ask you. I hope the drive is not broken.

I'm using the latest Beta 12a

The Parity is a WD20ears unjumpered and I transfered before 1,5TB of Data per LAN to my array without any problems.

  13. Thanks for your post Cyrnel, but the problems you describe are only with the network, right ?

So if I buy an Intel card, that would be fine.

My problem ist, that I bought this mainboard not long ago, so I do not like to buy another one 2 months later :/

I bought my NAS to use WHS, so I do not check the compatibility with unraid. Now I know WHS is crap and I need UnRaid :(

On the Asus Forum I read some Problems with the PCIe slot, not recognizing any Sata card, but it seems that this is solved.

So I am noch sure to switch to UnRaid, nice OS but it seems to have many problems with my hardware.
