I saw there was an update today so i updated.

Now Radarr and Sonarr cannot connect to SAB, I have ran the same configuration for more then a year and never had this problem.

Any ideas what i might check?

Here are logs if this might help

I'm having the exact same issue.  Literally, binhex-SABnzbvpn, binhex-NZBHydra2, and binhex-sonarr were working fine.  After I updated SAB this afternoon, same message as above and no communication between Hydra2, Sonarr, and SAB.  I did not make any configuration changes.  And I checked all settings in each app to confirm.

    Thanks !

I'll be unavailable this weekend, but I'll look into it next week.

I'm thinking there could be an issue when trying to move empty folders, but I'll have to check.

Thank you.  I really appreciate this, as your plugin is kind of my goto.

Hi, can you send the log (/boot/logs/unbalance.log) ?

    5.4.0 didn't touch the scatter/gather logic, it was just a front-end change.

The not enough space means you're trying to transfer more data than the free space on the disk.

It will not remove top-level share folders (/mnt/disk<x>/series and such), but it should remove lower level folders, if empty.

    Log attached.

After posting, I read through more posts and saw the updates this version made.  I can only report the timeline as I know it.  As for "not enough space", I know that my target had 2.79TB free, and I was only trying to move 5 or 6 empty folders.  In my case "media" is my top level share.  Media share settings handles whether "media" shows up on any "x" disk.

I'm having problems with the lower level folders.  Specifically, when moving folders with content, the folder with content gets moved to the target but an empty folder of the same name is left behind on the source disk.  Also, if I try to move the empty folders, I get the error message that the target has too little space.  But if I then choose a bunch of folders with GB's of data, they move just fine to the same target, but again the empty folders are left on the source disk.

One last thing, at some point recently I received a message in unBalance after performing the initial "plan" to update permissions via the Fix Common Problems Docker Safe New Perms, which I did before completing the operation.

Thank you for looking at this.

  4. unBalance (2018.09.18a - 5.4.0)

    unRAID (6.6.0)

When I move a folder from one disk to another, an empty SHOW/MOVIE folder is left on the source disk.  How can this be prevented?

    Directory Structure:     /Media/Series/<FOLDER FOR SHOW>

    Split level:    Top twp directories.

Note: this behavior started with unBalance 5.4.0, and also occurred on unRAID 6.5.3.

If I re-run the move, it will remove the empty folders.  But only one will get removed, so I have to run it one time for each empty folder.

But if I navigate to the share via the network, I can only see one folder with the data in it, or an empty folder if the folder was originally empty to start with, which occurs sometimes when a program creates a folder anticipating data.

UPDATE:  When I try to move an empty folder this line appears in the logs:

"PLANNING: The following items will not be transferred, because there's not enough space in the target disks:"

    BUT...the target has 2.79TB free.

  5. provisioning continued to fail, even after entering the custom option in pfsense dns resolver.  finally, i had the idea to log out of pfsense and then log back in again.  after doing so, provisioning completed successfully.

i spent a good amount of time setting up ssl login on my unraid server.  after searching the unraid forum and not finding a solution, i was able to get provisioning to finally work.  the main thing with everything else set correctly was logging out/in of pfsense (above).  so i thought i should share this.

here are the steps to setup provisioning on your unraid server with pfsense as your firewall/router:

    Static ip/dns in unraid:

    1. click on "settings" tab.

    2. turn docker off by clicking on "docker" and setting "enable docker" to NO, and then click "apply", then click "done".

    3. turn vm off by clicking on "vm manager" and setting "enable vms" to NO, and then click "apply", then click "done".

    4. click "network settings" and check the following:

ipv4 address assignment:        <set this to "static" after the other settings are confirmed as follows>

ipv4 address:                          <should be the local ip address of your unraid server>

ipv4 default gateway               <should be the ip address of your pfsense router>

ipv4 dns server assignment:            <set this to "static" after the other setting is confirmed as follows>

ipv4 dns server                               <should be the ip address of your pfsense router>

    Provisioning:

    1. in unraid go to "settings" tab.

    2. click on the system settings "identification".

    3. be sure that "use ssl/tls" is set to AUTO.

    4. then login to pfsense.

    5. go to "services" then "dns resolver".

    6. scroll to the bottom of the screen and click on "display custom options".

    7. in the custom options box type or paste the following:

    server:
    private-domain: "myunraid.net"

    8. click save.

    9. click apply.

    10. log out of pfsense.  then log back in to pfsense again.

    11. in unraid go to "settings" tab, then click on "identification".

    12. scroll down the page and click "provision".

  6. Not sure what's taken me so long to find this thread, but it's one of the best docker support threads I've seen.  Thanks on a number of levels: thanks for this thread; thanks for supporting unRAID and it's users with your Docker containers.  Hopefully my donation helps a little.

  7. I have used the Pre-clear plugin with no problems in 6.5.2 and 6.5.3. I have precleared 2 disks simultaneously with no issues. I prefer preclearing my disks manually.

However I don't know how to adjust your volume mappings mode in binhex-krusader to RW:Slave (RW would be needed as I use this docker to move previously backed up data to the array).

Go to the Docker tab.  Find the Binhex-Krusader in the Dockers list.  Click on it (see picture below) and select "Edit".

    154563787_Krusader-edit.jpeg.0a5a8fc90c2292e7c7d1629d21bd3ec5.jpeg

The Binhex-Krusader Docker edit screen pops up.  Go down the list until you see the /mnt/disks/ for the container path for unassigned.  Click the "Edit" button to the right of it.

The details pop-up for the unassigned devices paths.  Go down the list to "Access Mode" and change that to "RW/Slave" and then save.

I can post them here but might take a few weeks...  I am going away in 2 weeks but i am thinking sometime end of july it should be completed when i get back.

I was thinking i could go free Nas and RAID but no ECC  and

The reason i like unraid is because all my disks wont be accessing when streaming since the data is not striped ,  and if you lose a disk and something awful happens where it cannot be restored i guess that data is only lost on that one disk if parity is lost ,  hopefully i dont have a backplane explode on me , since i heard Norco 4224 are awful .

I am still clueless what else i can do with unraid such as dockers and for my cache drives i can provide 2 ssds for cache 1tb ea.  Does unraid set these up for raid?  These SSDs will of course have to be plugged into my mobo.

other than that not sure what dockers are good and where do i find a listing of them beside plex.

I'm sure anything you share about your build will be great.  It gives others a chance to see what someone else did with their build.

With unRAID, after installing Community Applications, the apps tab is created and that's where the dockers and plugins can be found.  Then you just search by keyword for the kinds of applications you want.  Also, @gridrunner creates videos on various unRAID topics on his Youtube channel Spaceinvader One.  That's where I'd start.  As for the SSD cache, the default for two disks is a raid 1 (mirror) cache pool.

That is right (it won't work). Currently Supermicro support is enabled for X9 and the X10/X11.

You would need to identify the raw ipmi commands for an X8 to have them incorporated into the plugin to get the X8 supported (assuming they are available).

Thanks.  I wasn't sure if that was the case or "it works but don't ask for help."  Lol.  I'll have to do some searching around.

    already got them!

I guess Unraid get use a maximum of 2 drives for parity? in case  a drive fails?

The only other thing i can think of is getting a good UPS now

Yeah, 2 parity drives.  Definitely get a UPS.  The generally recommended brand is APC.  Though APC tends to be more expensive for sine wave units.  I found a number of other members here using the CyberPower CP1500PFCLCD unit.  So, I bought it through Staples with a coupon and got it for ~$150.  It works with unRAID.  I tested and it safely shuts my system down.

IPMI fan control is supported for ASRock and Supermicro X10/X11 only.

I have a Supermicro X8SIL-F.  Just to clarify, this means that setting the fan control to "YES" will enable this function but there is no support?

    Found my HBA sas card

Can someone tell me if this already flashed for use within Unraid? I am assuming it is since IT mode is flashed

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/LSI-SAS-9211-8i-8-port-6Gb-s-PCI-E-Controller-Card-Internal-H3-25250-02C-IT-Mode/323207454142?hash=item4b40aa5dbe:g:DXQAAOSwMD5a0TYA

The title says "IT Mode", so I would think yes, though the best thing to do is to message the seller.
