  1. All my disks are showing as unmountable and its saying I need to format all of them even though I can access the data, but can not add any new data to the array. Attached is the diagnostics file. Please any help is always appreciated! Thanks in advance tower-diagnostics-20230628-0842.zip
  2. So I have a drive that has failed after finally 12 years (thing does not owe me anything at that age). I am wondering what is the easiest way to identify it (as I was an idiot and did not setup labels). Also, since my parity is valid, once I identify the device, do I just remove it from the array, take it out, put in new drive, preclear and then assign as the new "Disk 1" or what? Appreciate all the information and apologies if this is a noob question but never had this issue before.
  3. Thanks for doing this giveaway! Love all the features of Unraid especially the amazing forum support. Would like to see a dark theme mode added to the Unraid dashboard
  4. Been an unraid user since 2009 and love this software! Happy Birthday Unraid!!!
  5. So besides banging my head against a wall, I've spent the last 5 hours going through all my old documents, backups, and usbs and have found a "recent" backup of my flash configuration file. I copied the "broken" flash onto another computer and rared it and put on my backup flash and my shares are now there. I will say I still have no idea what happened, but I will be starting to backup my flash drive before I make any new changes from here on out.
  6. They are all still there, however I did not know that so thank you. I verified all the settings in each one CFG file is correct.
  7. Hello, So today I added in another disk to my array (disk7) after preclearing. It worked correctly and added into the array without issues. I then noticed a few new SimpleFeatures plugins (I was on 1.0.5 and noticed 1.0.11) so I naturally updated. I rebooted my server to install all the new plugins and now all my shares do not show. I checked on disk1, disk2, and disk3 and inside them my shares show. I looked through a few forum posts and have done the following: -shutdown and reboot (hard and soft) -reenable SMB -remove simplefeatures add-on -upgrade unraid server from 5.0beta12 to 5.0rc11 None of this has fixed the problem, so I need the great community help! What I find odd is that a share I created called plex that is basically a place to install apps, still works. It is only my "Movies" and "TV Shows" virtual shares that are gone. I also ran the below: -ps -ef | grep shfs (which came back with only the below line:) root 30109 28025 0 18:04 pts/0 00:00:00 grep shfs -ls -lR /mnt/user (which shows the below to sum up:) /mnt/user: total 0 drwxr-xr-x 6 root root 0 2013-03-14 17:49 plex/ Attached is also a syslog. Thanks in advanced! syslog.zip
  8. I was just wondering if a Sony SMPN200 will work well with unRaid? Thanks!
  9. I guess that is why I received the support I needed very quickly . Thank you Tophicles! (not sure if it was you who helped me out or if it was someone else). -Res
  10. All good suggestions, and remember there will always be something cheaper. I was merely posting about my experience and how great unRaid is for me. FourFellows is something I stumbled upon and just wanted to share with the community. I also just couldn't believe the support I received from FourFellows, they were very kind and very quick to reply. I just figured I would share, thanks for the information on the other companies though, they are worth checking out too. -Res
  11. Just thought I would post my experience with unRaid and it's amazing ability. I have always been attached to NAS (no pun intended), but when a friend told me about unRaid and how easy it is to setup I knew I had to try it out for myself. I didn't want to have to build my own Storage Server as I really did not have the time, but I also did not want to spend my life's savings on an overly priced system. I stumbled upon a website that has a relatively cheap price for all that I got. I now have a 40 TB Storage solution that I paid just over $6,000 for (after taxes of course). The people had already configured unRaid on it (which was also handy to have done) and I am downloading and backing up movies and shows like a mad man. The site I used was: www.fourfellows.com I also looked at other solutions, but did not want to pony up over $10,000 for a mere 12 TB. I highly recommend that site to get your dream Server because the experience was amazing. I had a bit of an issue with how to use it fully but all I had to do was send an email and I received a detailed reply within minutes of how to setup my computer and house to communicate with the Server. Bottom line is that unRaid is amazing and running amazingly on my new Norco Server. I highly suggest checking out the FourFellows site for anyone else needs for Storage along with unRaid (as I would have never done this configuration without unRaid). Just felt I should share this as I see a lot of posts about people wanting cheap Solutions to massive Storage.
