  1. Yes, Disk Shares is enabled for all drives with none excluded. That's it! Somehow during update all of the drives SMB security setting got set to no. Setting Export back to yes fixed it. Thanks!
  2. I finished transitioning all my drives to xfs and then updated to 6.11.5 (I don't remember from which version). Now I can't see the Disk Shares (disk1, disk2 etc.) or the cache folder when browsing the server via Windows Explorer. I can see al the User Shares just fine. Was there a settings change in the updates I missed? I would like the be able to drowse the disks individually, as it helps me balance the drives to limit spin-ups.
  3. I love the flexibility unRAID offers and how supportive the community is. Would like to see an easier way to change the formating of my drives to xfs.
  4. So I ended up rebooting and had to reassign every drive, checked that parity was valid, ran a parity check after, and all is good!
  5. Thanks for the suggestion. I just tried it on Firefox, Chrome and Edge on two different computers. I also tried it on my phone with Chrome and the same issue occurred each time.
  6. I'm removing a drive I no longer need, the drives works, just unnecessary. I've followed the instructions for "The "Clear Drive Then Remove Drive" Method" here (https://wiki.unraid.net/Shrink_array). I'm on step 13, but when I try to select unassigned for the disk I'm removing, the page refreshes and the drive still shows up. No matter what I change, try and add the hot swap as a new drive, unassign any other drive, the page just refreshes with the exact some unchanged drive assignments. Edit: I'm using 6.7.2
  7. LOL! Nope! We're still at it! Going through final testing to ensure the final build is solid before we post to the world, but we will meet the deadline! Still have 7 hours before the last time zone finishes Monday
  8. OK, this is weird I went to take a screen shot of it showing as unformated, but after stopping the array (was in maintenance mode) then starting, the cache is now formatted as btrfs and everything is back to normal... might have been an issue with my Plex Docker
  9. Running 6.0-beta12 and my cache now shows as unformated. I can still see the files when I browse vie the GUI. I ran reiserfsck --check /dev/sdc1 and was told reiserfs_open: the reiserfs superblock cannot be found on /dev/sdc1. Failed to open the filesystem. If the partition table has not been changed, and the partition is valid and it really contains a reiserfs partition, then the superblock is corrupted and you need to run this utility with --rebuild-sb. I know that with --rebuild-sb answers need to be perfect, so I'm looking for some help to get this cache back up. Thanks!

  11. I've been trying to replace one of the 2TB drives with a pre-cleared 3TB drive. During the data-rebuild the server appears to crash, and it brings down my whole wired network (as soon as I disconnect the server, the network is back up and running). There isn't even any text displayed on the monitor I have connected. When I reboot the server, the log starts over so I can't see what errors might have been thrown out. I've already successfully upgraded one of the 1TB drives. I'm going to see if I can try and pre-clear another 3TB drive, but since that will take many many many hours, I was wondering if anyone had any ideas as to the cause of this mysterious crashing, or how to get a useable log. Thanks.
  12. I am wondering if it might be account specific, as I've been getting their daily emails for years.
  13. I can't claim it either, tells me "Your email address is not valid for redemption of promo code BTEXTWM47."
  14. Bah, it's always something more simple then I try to make it! That did the trick RobJ, many thanks Over eager and couldn't scroll to the bottom
  15. I just tried to install 5.0-rc11 and I can't seem to access my server remotely. I have replaced all the root files with those from the AiO, and ran make_bootable.bat as administrator. The server still has the same static IP from 4.7 when I check eth0, but it can't even ping the gateway. When I revert back to the 4.7 files in the root of the flash drive, the server works just fine. Did I just completely miss something in the instructions? Server here -> http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=18627
  16. I've upgraded to an i3-2100 with a MBD-X9SCM-F-O mobo and 8GB memory... and also added another MV8 and the final 5-3 drive cage Forgot to take a picture of the front though, I'll get one when I get home tonight. Getting the last 5-3 into the case was beyond difficult. I don't know if it was just my case, but it's about half a centimeter too short to fit 3 . Plus, the first MV8 was DOA Been running rock solid on the new config for two weeks
  17. Yea, cable management wasn't ideal in the Azza case, but it works. The case fans were probably fine, but the fans on the drive cages were WAY too loud. With the Noctua I have silence and good temps...I'll post those up when I get home. Wish they weren't so ugly though. True, I only see them when the case is open, but still... I had the UPS laying around for a while, so hopefully I'm one of those that can get APC upsd to work I might end up doing that. Right now the case is up against a wall so I don't have to see it, and air flow is fine as is. Also, I plan on upgrading to a larger case later this year and almost every case mod project I start goes horribly horribly wrong.

  19. I just bought another drive. I just couldn't wait for the week turn-around time and I only had spare 1TB drives.
  20. Yep, that's what I ended up doing...couldn't wait for the replacement though and had to cough up $140 :'(
  21. I replaced a 1TB with a 2TB, after passing pre-clear and replaced disk7. Now, disk3 has red balled. Powered down, checked all the cables and then when I ran the SMART report and get Smartctl: Device Read Identity Failed (not an ATA/ATAPI device) as a reply. This shows up in the syslog repeatedly. Jan 31 17:17:39 Asgard kernel: ata13: status=0x51 { DriveReady SeekComplete Error } (Errors) Jan 31 17:17:39 Asgard kernel: ata13: error=0x04 { DriveStatusError } (Errors) I'm guessing disk3 somehow died during the rebuild? My syslog is 4MB and I'm not sure what to take out, so I'm just going to link to it: http://www.twinsen.org/upload/syslog-1-31-2012.txt http://www.twinsen.org/upload/smart.txt
