Let's clear a couple of things up.

I have never provided the support for this really, I did this to scratch my own itch when there was no tailscale for unraid. I will continue to update this while it is used.

So I haven't changed what I'm doing, I've only ever updated versions.

Other kind folk have supported people using it, with occasional input from me if I have time.

Now that there is a plugin you are totally within you rights to use that, and indeed I will likely be updating the front page of this to suggest that unless you are using tailscale to do funky fun things with groups of docker containers you probably should.

Well I was only using it to connect to my dockers and and update broke it. I asked for ideas and got nothing so I pointed people with the same issue to the plugin. My problem is I now how a remote client I can't fix till I fly over now since the updates don't fix it

I am having an issue with the Tailscale Docker. All of my containers are accessible through IP & magicDNS, however my unraid WebUI does not resolve with neither Tailscale IP nor magicDNS. This issue also extends to SMB -- I am unable to access files on the server through Tailscale.

it seems apart from updating verions hes given up helping use the plugin instead of the docker it works fine.

I need some help.  I'm an Unraid noob trying to get remote access to the webgui for my Unraid server.  I've installed Tailscale on the Unraid server, a local PC on the same network, and a laptop which is about 1,000 miles remote.  I can ping each machine from each machine successfully.  I have installed ProFTPd on the Unraid server and can use Filezilla successfully on the remote laptop to FTP files to/from the Unraid server.

But, when I enter the Tailscale-provided IP address (100.126.xxx.xx) in my browser, I get the following message:  "100.126.xxx.xx refused to connect."  I feel like I'm missing something simple, but I cannot figure it out.  Any help would be appreciated.

i have the same issue there is a plugin now instead of this docker switch to it till its fixed.

  5. @dsmith44for the past few months i have been unable to connect to the unraid server page i can connect to any other docker port and ping the tailscale ip on the server just not 80 or 443, this is happening on both my servers any ideas? i have tried turning on and off magic dns that did nothing.

thanks in advance for the reply

PS. when i disable the docker and install the plugin it works also the docker is still on 1.42 with force update

I had my setup working great for a while using a GTX 1060 and just recently updated my Unradid to 6.10.3. After doing so, my Nvidia Driver seemed to bugout a bit, so I had to reinstall the plugin in order for it to work correctly and detect my GPU.

So I got that working again and now when trying to start the tdarr node I get an error about the runtime.

docker: Error response from daemon: Unknown runtime specified nvidia.

However, I have the runtime input correctly as --runtime=nvidia and have made no changes to my tdarr node, so not sure what is going on here.

check NVIDIA_VISIBLE_DEVICES the gpu-xxxxxxxxxxxxx number is still there and it matches

First off I'd like to say tdarr is awesome and saved me just under 10tb, before I had an issue and my drives decided to loose their partition table and lost everything (not tdarr related). Now I'm using it to transcode as I add media back. I don't have any issues, I have a questions and a scenario. I'm wondering how the output folder option works. Will it follow the directory structure? Like if enabled will it keep the same structure like original file is in /media/tv/show/season/show-S01E01.mkv and using the output folder option will it move it to /new-media/tv/show/season01/show-S01E01.mkv. To be automated to move files to the show name and season same with movies. What I want to do is use the cache drive to move ripped disks to the media shares and have tdarr pick them up from cache (before mover) transcode it then move it to the array. Have tdarr watch /mnt/user/media/tv then move the completed file to /mnt/user0/media/tv. I would like to have plex auto watch the /user0/ to auto add media and not have it watch the /user/. That way Plex doesn't pick up the newly added files before tdarr can work its magic and get metadata and scan for intros for the old files. Most of the time plex doesnt see the file type and size change and I get a playback error and so it doesnt redownload the art and posters and scan all over again to detect intros.  <--- or maybe a future feature.

for moving to another folder its eaiser to setup a new library since your rip folder is not the same as your other media folder even though the output folder is the same. its also a way to segment your data so see how your rip transcodes are doing.

I restarted both tdarr and the node, didnt flush it, restarted the docker engine, didn't flush it.

Left the docker engine off, restarted the server and then restarted the docker engine, didn't work.  Still sitting at 96%

Any other ideas?  Looks like with the docker engine off, i can just resize the image allocation from 20gb to something else, but i'd rather fix it than band aid it.

ok so you have 2 options can follow this guide https://medium.com/@samhavens/how-to-make-a-docker-container-smaller-by-deleting-files-7354b5c6c8f1 which is no simple or delete the docker image and reinstall the apps the settings should still be there.

So is this anything like the docker unmanic?  Where it will scan your libraries, and automatically convert any file that isn't a specific format?  Like make all my movies x265 .mkv files?

If so, has anyone used both dockers?  Which one gives the best output in terms on video quality post transcoding?  How does it handle transcoding HDR content?

think of unmanic as easy mode. this is advanced mode where you can basicly tell it to do anything to the trascode if you know how to use ffmeg on the command line.

Issue with remote nodes if someone could please help?

Main Unraid server working great with local node and local GPU

I have another Unraid server I am using as a remote node, everything connects, the transcode takes place, but it cannot move the file.

All the paths are the same for media and transcode cache and I can move files manually via the server, but the remove tdarr node cannot.

The remote node server have 777 rights to the share location main server?

This doesn't seem like it would fix my problem with the docker image getting too big.

I'm not sure whats going on with it, it ran for a solid 8hrs and my docker image was around 63%, then all of a sudden when we started watching plex, it skyrocketed to 99%

You are probably using tmp as the transcode location on both programs change the location to either a cache drive or a share location should fix it.

I'm having the same issue, i've tried moving my transcode folder to a spot within /media.  It was working fine for about 8hrs (docker image wasn't rising in size), but when we started watching plex and it shot up to 99%

  14. i thinking about switching from resilio is there a way to prioritize syncs. i have 3 computers 1 has and upload and download speed more than double the other 2. so is there a way for the other two to first send to the fast connection before they send to eachother this would speed syncing up alott.

anyone else seeing issues with this container im getting an error that repeats it self over and over and its "Starting MongoDB"

sounds like it cannot find the database file have you changed a setting or location of

TdarrDB: ..... if this is your first time setting up you need to point this somewhere like /mnt/user/appdata/tdarr-db for example

I am wondering if it is the nvidia driver thing? I added all that after Tdarr, do I need to dump the Tdarr container and re-add it? I tried editing the dicker image but could not see the nvidia fields.

Just for reference, I switched to CPU profile as mentioned and it is currently transcoding 2 files. So it is not a Tdarr issue just my settings somewhere are wrong.

its not finding the nvidia card you have all the settings in the container to pass the card through?

Ok, so this morning I turn my server on (As I am tinkering I turn it off at night) and oddly Tdarr starts a full scan and adds all 17200 items to the health check queue and transcode queue.

I set a worker on the health check and away it goes, I notice they are still all going straight to health check error, see log extract below:

    And transcode still failes

Going to try a CPU profile I think see how that goes.

Can you click info on one of the failed check and post it
