    1. Add '--runtime=nvidia' in your Docker template in 'Extra Parameters' (you have to enable 'Advanced view' in the template to see this option)
    2. Add a variable to your Docker template with the Key: 'NVIDIA_VISIBLE_DEVICES' and as Value: 'YOURGPUUUID' (like 'GPU-9cfdd18c-2b41-b158-f67b-720279bc77fd')
    3. Add a variable to your Docker template with the Key: 'NVIDIA_DRIVER_CAPABILITIES' and as Value: 'all'
    4. Make sure to enable hardware transcoding in the application/container itself

    So I couldn't find if this has been asked before when I searched but I am trying to add multiple GPU to single docker. I used above and video and got one to successfully work but can't seem to add the second. Is there a way for a docker container to directly communicate with NVIDIA SMI? (Docker I am using is Tdarr and I have 3x 3080 GPUs). Thanks!

  2. Hello I just upgraded to 6.10.1 from 6.8. I am trying to login in but am getting the error: "TypeError: Failed to fetch". I can't login so I can't post on the MyServer forum area and can't submit an issue since it gives me the same error. I am remotely logged in to the system so rebooting is not feasible for a while.

    Any help is appreciated.

    The "ES Energy Saving" profile on this old x8 boards seem to leave a lot to be desired.  I have switched out all the fans with low RPM fans, and whilst the noise isn't bad, it just seems the fans either turn high or low with little inbetween.  Given the board has a lot of temperature sensors and fan sensors and PWM one would think it could do better.

    Anyway I have come across these:

    https://www.ikus-soft.com/en/blog/2017-10-01-supermicro-x8-controle-ventilateur/

    &

    https://gist.github.com/ikus060/26a33ce1e82092b4d2dbdf18c3610fde

    And this seems to suggest it will give greater control.  I'm just a bit wary that I don't want to break anything underlying in unraid in my quest for a sensible fan profile.

    If i follow these instructions, what happens the next time i upgrade unraid?

    Presumably I can use the nerdpack to launch the script on this page, after i've installed and enabled whats needed?

    Strange I can't find much else written about this on the unraid forums, seems like the x8, and an old supermicro chassis are perfect for a cheap unraid box.  At least it's a massive upgrade on my old dell t20, pretty happy with it so far!

    Any luck?

    That has nothing to do with a VPN.

    Of you connect using remote desktop to another Windows computer, you use the mouse/keyboard on the client. But this you should ask for in the VM sub forum.

    It’s more about port forwarding. The program virtualhere that works when in network but not over OpenVPN, anyway to adjust settings/anyone know alternatives to get this to work.

    What do you mean by usb pass through the vpn?

    Do you mean that you want to pass through a usb network adapter to the container?

    Sorry for the delayed response.  Fairly new to unraid/Linux. I was trying to get the following set up:

    Server A hosts OpenVPN, separately runs Windows VM and can connect remotely with client B. With Remote Desktop when I plug in usb/keyboard to client B I want it to appear on windows VM. Anyway to do that with OpenVPN? Or is this an Remote Desktop issue.

    I use the saphire rx570 4gb pulse mini. Works fine without a hitch. I have to passthrough the vbios though.

    Also for sound to work the gpu and sound counterpart must be put on the same bus. Here is my xml below for reference.

      <hostdev mode='subsystem' type='pci' managed='yes'>
          <driver name='vfio'/>
          <source>
            <address domain='0x0000' bus='0x0f' slot='0x00' function='0x0'/>
          </source>
          <rom file='/mnt/user/domains/vbios/Sapphire.RX570.4096.180105.rom'/>
          <address type='pci' domain='0x0000' bus='0x05' slot='0x00' function='0x0' multifunction='on'/>
        </hostdev>
        <hostdev mode='subsystem' type='pci' managed='yes'>
          <driver name='vfio'/>
          <source>
            <address domain='0x0000' bus='0x0f' slot='0x00' function='0x1'/>
          </source>
          <address type='pci' domain='0x0000' bus='0x05' slot='0x00' function='0x1'/>
        </hostdev>

    Sounds good I’ll look into that one thank you. I’m looking to add a WiFi/Bluetooth card as well for airdrop/continuity.

    For the new feature Catalina “side car” I need to change the iMac version to a newer one (even then it may not work), how would I go about it with this version of clover?

    Hi,

    I got some problems with the openvpn docker on my unraid 6.7.0 Server. On the photos you can see my configuration and the log. My webbrowser says: ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED

    What can I do?

    openvpn_log.JPG

    openvpnas_config.JPG

    I had had a similar issue. For me it occurred when I updated the OpenVPN-as container. I had to do a clean install (removed docker container and erased the OpenVPN-as folder from my appdata share), reinstalled and that fixed the problem.

    tried this again but for some unknown reason this time it works!!

    Thanks for all the help!

    Question are you using Host or Bridge as network type?

    For some reason I can’t access the web GUI for OpenVPN-AS or connect via OpenVPN if it’s set to Bridge, only works for host.

    Also, using Host and adding my IP 192.168.1.0/24 to router settings my main issue is that I can now connect to my network and access low number ports (192.168.1.xxx:80 for unraid GUI) and even other IP address for VM that I have on my network. What I can’t seem to access or any GUI that are port 7000 or greater (192.168.1.xxx:8989, 192.168.1.xxx:9091 or any other docker container address).

    any help is appreciated thanks

    Thank you for the response (knew it was a shot in the dark with the age of the thread).  I was hoping to allow Plex to do all the renaming/sorting, but starting to think the best way forward would be to have Plex DVR into one folder, have MCEBuddy watch that folder, process, rename and sort to my existing Plex library.

    I tried this and the share where the videos are (DVR) and where I want them to be (Shows) I have ser to public. However MCEbuddy keeps saying idle and i can’t seem to figure out why?

    Update: Incase someone has the same issue as me. I found that despite putting my information in MCEbuddy for a user in unraid, it wouldn't worked if I used a share that I mapped on my PC.  When I did used the \\my.server.ip directly in the file directory and found my shares it worked

  10. Hello, so I’m new to Unraid and new to VMs but I had a question about using a VM as a roaming profile.

    Basically can you have two (or more) users sign in and access different profiles on the same VM?

    Currently I have a windows 10 VM running with multiple user profiles that I can log off and switch between them whil in the VM remotely. I have the folders linked to my array so the data is always accessible. I am using Splashtop to remote in and have full functionality of the VM with sound and able to use my laptop keyboard and mouse (remotely). No GPUs just VNC running.

    For the raspberry pi 3 you can run multiple desktops through VNC, so I was wondering if the same can be done through Unraid to set up a “roaming profile” type set up. The use would be for basic none gaming functionality.

    I know if I run 2 windows VM simultaneously then each user will be able to log in to its own, however I would rather assign more cores/maintain 1 VM then simultaneously upkeeping 2.

    Any advice would help!
