  1. So cool to see my suggestion made it to a release. Shows that the DEVs are listening. Thanks!
  2. I cleaned up all the stuff and still did not work. Just installed RC5 and it is working. Either the RC update corrected my issue or just the reboot took care of it.
  3. Nope, it was the old SNAP plugin. Can't even remember how it got there or when I put it in. I removed it and rebooted the system Still no Unassigned Disks showing as SHARES
  4. Here is my SMB extras [global] security = USER guest account = nobody public = yes guest ok = yes map to guest = bad user #unassigned_devices_start #Unassigned devices share includes include = /tmp/unassigned.devices/smb-settings.conf #unassigned_devices_end and here is the contents of the other conf files root@IceTower:~# more /tmp/unassigned.devices/smb-settings.conf include = /etc/samba/unassigned-shares/Downloads.conf root@IceTower:~# more /etc/samba/unassigned-shares/Downloads.conf [Downloads] path = /mnt/disks/Downloads read only = No guest ok = Yes vfs objects = root@IceTower:~# and here is the actual mounted drive /dev/sde1 on /mnt/disks/Downloads type xfs (rw,noatime, nodiratime, discard)
  5. Right. I only did it to test and it did not resolve anything so I set it back. I enables SMB Security in the UD settings and still no joy. I have the SNAP plugin installed but dont use it. Could SNAP be conflicting with anything?
  6. Running latest RC Have a 1TB SSD as an Unassigned Device Have Auto Mount and Share enabled I am unable to get to the share from a windows PC either by \\Tower or by \\Tower\share_name Enable Disk Shares in enabled in Global Settings I can see all of the Disk# that are part of my array as "Disk shares" on the Shares tab but not the one I am trying to share Found that smb-shares.conf did not have an entry for my share_name Copied an entry from [Disk1] and changed the name and local mount point I can now browse to \\Tower and see it but it still does not show up on UnRaid Shares tab The only way I could get to the share was to hand enter it into smb-shares.conf Any idea what my problem may be? Thanks ~Sully
  7. Any idea why this is happening? This is only 1 stream transcoding and it is pegging my i5-8400 I turned off HW transcoding and now the same stream is running about 10% total cpu utilization with software transcoding.
  8. The setting of the "Use Cache Disk:" value for each share. Example in attached photo. Not an editable setting, but just a display of what one would find if they drilled into the share. Reason: I just filled my cache drives up in a very short time because I miss-clicked on ONLY rather that YES for a very active share. I got the warnings that the cache was near capacity and I had to go to UnRaid and drill thru all the shares to verify which shares are using the Cache drives and how. Thanks!
  9. Is it possible to get a column added to the shares view that shows the status of the 'Cache' setting without drilling into each share? This would allow a quick look to see the status of all shares cache settings. Thank you for your consideration. Jeff
