  1. I'm installing this as per your guide. I'm stuck at this point: # Copy our PPD (that we generated above) into the foomatic filters folder: cp /boot/config/cups/ppd/* /usr/share/cups/model/samsung/ When I do this I get the following error: cp: cannot create regular file `/usr/share/cups/model/samsung/': Is a directory root@Tower:/boot/packages# Any help appreciated. To try and get round the above I created a user share on the tower called share (not sure this was right but thought I'd try it nonetheless). I know get: root@Tower:/boot/packages# # Make cups executable and run it: root@Tower:/boot/packages# chmod +x /etc/rc.d/rc.cups root@Tower:/boot/packages# /etc/rc.d/rc.cups start /usr/sbin/cupsd: error while loading shared libraries: libldap-2.4.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory cups: unable to start scheduler. root@Tower:/boot/packages# Also I'm on UNRAID 4.7. Would this be related to my problem?
  2. A little bump to the thread as it hasn't been updated for a while. Anyone get a chance to do this?
  3. I like it. I just wondered if it ever goes on sale as at the moment I only want to add one drive.
  4. It's only £20 for one more 250gb drive but the license to put that in will cost me over £50.
  5. I have a cheap server with 3 x 250gb drives in. I just want to add one more drive but the upgrade cost of unraid is more than the cost of a drive lol. Does unraid ever go on sale. Id pick it up if it was on cheap or even a special offer for people using fewer drives or smaller capacity drives.
  6. I've replaced the ssmtp package in unMENU with this one. Many thanks. A check for updates should download it. Anybody with the older 2.62 package can delete it. Joe L. Sorry for such a newbie question but I'm still having problems. I've downloaded the above file. Where do I put it and what do I do to get the emailing function to work. Any help appreciated.
  7. Monthly Parity Check. Does this auto email me if there is a problem or do I need to do a manual check each month. I've just installed the above software and was curious. I have it set to NOCORRECT at the moment but can't see an email option. Ideally I'd like something that auto-emails me if there is a problem. If this software doesn't do it does some other?
  8. LOL. OK. Please post when you get a chance. Much appreciated.
  9. Did you manage to do this? How do I find a link to the wiki?
  10. Thanks. Please put a post here when you've updated the wiki.
  11. My Samsung ML 1915 isn't listed on this page. I think this is where I'm stuck. The instructions posted by overbyrn above to use the universal samsung printer driver seem easier for a beginner than what I did (but does not have step by step instructions). He posted the PPD's and binaries that he built. I prefer your instructions as they're step by step. I'm just stuck on the bit where it says "Generate your PPD file". If someone could tell me how to get the PPD file for Samsung 1915.

  13. Sorry but I'm struggling to set this up. Any chance of some "simpler" instructions for a newbie to follow? I have a Samsung ML 1915.
  14. Thanks. I have a Samsung 1915. Will try this out next weekend. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. He will do it for $50: quote author=elkay14 link=action=profile;u=18816 date=1323116302] I can write you a custom install script that will install everything, configure, and set up the go script to have it re-install properly after reboot. I will also have to assemble a custom slackware package to contain the needed printer driver and filter. How does $50 sound? I would strive for absolute 100% satisfaction from you. I'm assuming you are capable of using telnet and running scripts on the unraid host. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. My printer is connected via usb and is not a network printer. Not sure what a reasonable price is. How much work is involved on your side and what would you be happy with. The main thing for me is that the solution is reliable. I did buy a print server a while ago but gave up as it was so temperamental. Can pay via BT or PayPal. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I will gladly pay somebody some hard cash if they give a solution to getting this working. Failing that I'm selling my printer LoL. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  19. Is this possible for non-air print printers? I found the following guide for Windows and was wondering if I could do this on Unraid: http://jaxov.com/2010/11/how-to-enable-airprint-service-on-windows/
