  1. The only data I want to keep are my docker configurations ie radarr/sonarr settings, plex settings, sabnzd , all the api tie ins and potentially shares to remap to the new drives. I would like to start over fresh with what I am storing, but be able to keep the apps in place as they are configured. I assume that backing up my appdata covers all of this. The only part I'm assuming might not carry over are the radarr/sonarr library lists. Folders within the shares I assume would have to be recorded and then remade. Is this correct?
  2. I currently have a 4x3TB unraid server running smoothly. It's primaly function is as a plex server with automation configured for radarr/sonarr-sabnzb-overseer. I do not care about my current tv/movies because I plan on re-downloading backups of my movies and shows at much higher qualities. Ideally I would like to keep the lists of my radarr and sonarr librarys, so that I know what I had and can systematically replace them. In addition to the 3x4TB drives (one being parity), I have one ssd dedicated to appdata/docker and one dedicated to system/vm/downloads That being said, what would be the easiest way to go about "starting over"?
  3. This may be easier to follow if I just list -Going from 1-2 plex streams concurrently to hopefully 5-6 -Pulling 2 cores for a windows 10 vm chunked performance, would like to comfortably run 1 maybe two VM at most -Going from 4x3tb (one of them parity) to 3x14tb (one as parity). may keep a few of the healthiest in array as non tv/movie storage - i have already converted from using mobo sata ports to an LSI in IT mode. It has 2 ports. Current Specs Intel® Core™ i5-3570K CPU @ 3.40GHz NVIDIA Quadro P400 8GB DDR3 4x3TB on 2 port LSI IT mode 650watt Gold PSU Questions- 1) Can I eek a single VM out of that processor even if I'm sending two cores to the VM and leaving 2 for plex/unraid? 2) Will the P400 handle enough of the transcoding overhead if I stayed on the same proacessor? I tested and have HW transcoding set up properly 3) Is there a drawback to running two 2port LSI cards as opposed to 1 4port? 4) how many simultaneous streams could I eek out with this card/cpu combo. My guess based on research was 5-6. If Upgrading mobo and cpu is a good idea. What would your reccomendation be? I'm assuming anything recent would also require me to upgrade my older PSU if not for any reason other than not having the up to date power cables. The psu is like 8-10 years old. Budget isnt an issue. But I will never be doing any heavy lifting outside of a few VMs and dishing out Plex. I really just dont want to go overboard on the cpu/mobo combo, while still having enough juice for plex and vm flexibility/capability. Thank you.
  4. Yes. I think that is the most prudent route and highly attainable. My current build basically accomplishes what I want to do in the future - though once I have 4k content I will probably want to be able to handle a single transcode if I am on a phone or tablet personally - anyone else I would have setup for native. What route did you go with your full build and what would you rec. as a result?
  5. I should rephrase then, I know right now I am extremely power inefficient and I would like to improve that. I would like to be able to transcode 2-3 1080p streams. Eventually I would like to transcode 1-2 4k streams (as I add that content). It is my understanding most TV's and streaming devices with plex supported will stream natively - and I will push for that as much as possible. It is my understanding that native streaming takes very little cpu? It seems like my current setup can handle 1-2 1080p streams with a 4900ish passmark score. Would you suggest I replace the cpu/mobo/ and then add a card like to p400 when I get to the point where I am transcoding 4k? If that is the case, assume I am using the above LSI card - which case/mobo combo would you reccommend?
  6. What is your budget? 1500-2500 USD (drives excluded) How many drives do you want your server to be able to support and how much capacity do you need? 8-10 drives - 20TB minimum (Would like suggestions for desktop and rackable) Is expandability important to you? If so, what's your long term goal? 8-10 drives will provide me coverage I need (plan to start with 4 + parity + ssd cache) Are you interested in running any unRAID Add Ons (see here)? Link is dead - But I would like to run Plex (radarr/sonarr), Torrents What do you plan to run for hard drives? 5400 rpm storage/parity - SSD for cache (unless deemed unnecessary) Do you have any spare parts laying around that you would like to apply towards your build? NOTE: I already have a fully functional Unraid serving the above purpose - but I would like to lower my power consumption and add additional functionality of hot swappable drives. --Current Hardware ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. SABERTOOTH Z77 Intel® Core™ i5-3570K CPU @ 3.40GHz 16GB Ram 1333mhz Nvidia GTX 670 FTW Corsair TX650M PSU I have already ordered an Nvidia Quadro P400 to replace the GPU (and) LSI 9207-8i (IBM M5110) FLASHED TO IT MODE to replace in the current rig as I move towards a refreshed build. I have read that the 3750k idles in the 80w range and maxes to the mid 150w I have a watt meter coming, I don't even wanna know what the Nvidia card has been drawing. What I am currently running is accomplishing my needs (minus multiple transcodes), my goal is to reduce as much power consumption as possible + create expansion + a cleaner setup. I have tried to be as thorough in following the guidelines, please let me know what other information would be helpful. The most important suggestions I need as far as I know are mobo/cpu/ram combo that provides efficient power draw that is compatible with the above purchased cards + that will fit in hot swappable case/rack suggestions. Thanks in advance.
  7. Deluge only has the option to extract to a specific folder, I have attempted to grab several plugins that add current directory function but they seem to be incompatible or are not adding. Is there a built in way to add this option?
  8. Pulling the cable as well as replacing it doesnt seem to be working. My system panel functionality quickly bugs out and things start to not load like docker or apps and part of MAIN. Any thoughts?

  10. how can I provide you with a proper log? I can't pull it from the log tab on the webgui.
  11. Running version 6.6.6 - I have also already replaced the usb stick with a backup of the drive, as well as read through the forums to the best of my ability. As I mentioned, I can not access docker, apps, or even log. They all hang and none function. I have also lost array functions, when I first replaced the USB drive that option came up and i was ablet to start the array after registering. This is a recent issue - unraid has been running flawlessly for at least a year. As I said I couldnt access log from the webui so I printed out from terminal. Please let me know if you need to see more info or generate the log in a different way. https://pastebin.com/kZfQN94F
  12. Yep. Whatever you did fixed it. Thank you!
