  1. Sonarr doesn't handle the downloads, it works in conjunction with things like Sabnzbd or CouchPotato which is where you set up your usenet servers
  2. I figured this out and thought I post in case anyone runs in to the same issue. After poking around my cache drive (where all my docker containers are on my unRAID server) I realized there were multiple locations with the sub-path \downloads\complete (and \incomplete) in them. All of which when selected as the download destination in the settings of SABnzbd appear as \config\downloads\complete. There was also a \downloads folder as well. Adding to my confusion was the fact that one of locations had an uppercase D in Downloads, which the Sonarr error message has as well indicating to me that is where it was looking … it was not. I replaced the config and .ini files for SABnzbd with those from the last working version then downloaded and successfully imported a file to make sure it worked. After doing so I opened up the two \downloads\complete folders, the \Downloads\complete and the \downloads folder and downloaded the same file again and monitored exactly which one the file was actually being downloaded to then put a null text file called This Directory in it. Put the newest config and .ini files back, went into the settings, navigated to the folder with the text file and selected it as the destination folder. I also deleted all the apparently extraneous \download\complete folders. All working now. Two things going on here it seems, the first being that when using the browse function in SABnzbd to select the download destination (and incomplete location) multiple locations all appear as the correct \config\downloads\complete AND the location that Sonarr says its looking for the downloaded file isn’t where it’s actually looking.
  3. Import Failing After Upgrade And I Can’t Figure Out Why Sonarr version (2.0.0.5153): Mono version (5.0.0): OS: unRAID 6.4.1 So this happened to me once before and I thought I had this all figured out, but apparently not. I’m running SABnzbd and Sonar in Docker containers on and unRAID server, from the binhex repositories. After upgrading to the latest version of unRAID both Sonar and SABnzb went belly up so I deleted the containers and started again. Everything is working except that Sonar can’t seem to find the download TV shows and import them to my unRAID server. The following log message seem to indicate Sonarr is looking for them in a nonexistent location from an ancient install from another repository (I don’t know where it’s picking this up from): Import failed, path does not exist or is not accessible by Sonarr: /config/Downloads/complete/Genereic TV Show Nme.S07E04 Episode name.720p.AMZN.WEBRip.DDP5.1.x264-NTb-postbot.1/37de00f3d8f747a3acb0728d88d4ee19.mkv I’ve looked and fiddle with every setting I can find to get Sonar to pointed to the right download folder but I’m obviously missing. Anytime there is a setting field and I click on it, opens right to the correct folder with the downloaded files. I can even go into the Wanted tab on the webgui select Manual Import and the downloaded files are right there in the Recent Folder where I can manually import them. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Here’ are my paths for Sonar and Sabnzbd:
  4. I was hoping to post a question about problem I'm having with Sonarr, but the option to create a new topic is unavailable, am I doing something wrong r not allowed to post there for some reason?
  5. One thing to note is that I am reasonably sure that if you use the mv command then files and folders remain on the same disks they are currently located on (I think that under the covers mv will just do a rename). This will only be an issue if you thought they might be redistributed by such an action. ???HUH??? If the share I'm copying from is restricted to disks 4, 5, 6 and 7 and the share I'm copying to is restricted to drives 10, 11, 12 and 13 that would move the files from the first set of drives to the send ... right? That is after all my objective ... to get the files off the RFS formatted drives and onto the XFS drives so I can format the former.
  6. You don't have to do it though Windows Explorer, if you are comfortable with Linux you can move the "t" folder using mv (or another command that works) as well. Going to say this again, because it can't be said too many times. NEVER copy from /mnt/user/Share to /mnt/disk/Share or vice versa. In windows explorer this would be copying from a "Share" to "DiskX" (Where X is the disk number). This causes a file system error that will result in data loss. mnt/user0/share is a special case but I am 99% sure it suffers from the same user share to disk problem. Just to be clear, though, I should be able to move the contents of one share (ex: TV-Shows spread across 5 RFs formatted disks) to another share (ex TV Shows on 5 XFS formatted disks) with no problem right? The shares, are they just directories that I can cd into and do something like a mv * to \(destination share)
  7. *ugh* I was hoping for something a little more elegant, it's actually about 9.6 TB of TV Shows each with their own folder and multiple season sub folders. That's going to be a whole lot of copying either way and then the problem of my Kodi library being wiped clean. Oh well, best get started I suppose.
  8. Okay, done and done ... thanks for the help folks. If you don't mind a part II question: so now that I have several empty XFS formatted drives available is there a relatively simple way to move an entire share and its contents from the drives it's currently located on to the new ones? I was going to just start copying but it's a lot of files spread out over 5 drives and was hoping there might be a quicker way.
  9. Actually I think he said I could reformat and then rebuild ... perhaps I misunderstood and he meant format the old drive ??
  10. mmmm nope I don't ... I must be missing something. I put the larger disk in, selected it as device 10 and it only allows me start the array and rebuild it as a reiserfs disk ... I cant find options to format it anywhere.
  11. I've been looking around and I'm a bit confused and don't want to screw anything up or waste a lot of time so I wonder if someone can offer a simple suggestion. I have a existing array of 13 data disks some are formatted reiserfs, the newest ones formatted XFS ... I want to replace disk 10 which is formatted reiserfs with a new larger disk and have it formatted XFS ... There's no data or shares on the existing disk, it's all been moved to other locations, but I'm assuming that if I just pop in a a new drive it's going to be formatted in the reiserfs format as the one it was replacing was ... is that correct? If so how can I replace it and have it updated to XFS?
  12. Just some info wrt whether it's Docker causing the problem.... The first time I tried to upgrade from v5 to v6, this past summer, and began having the problem I was running as vanilla a setup as you could imagine ... no Docker programs running no plugins nothing just an array with some shares. Also, while this began happening again after my second attempt to upgrade and I did eventually start using some docker programs the hanging problem predated their installation. And like the other user stated ... even after the unRaid gui becomes unresponsive my Docker applications are still accessible ... though oddly only from certain machines on my LAN. And another note... since I posted about running the top process and the expected freeze up not occurring after three days it's still up while the TOP process has been running continuously
  13. A bit disappointed at the lack of response and support for this as several people seem to have posted elsewhere about similar freeze ups of v 6 ... but I may have stumbled into a work around. After posting the original message on cue just shy of three full days of being up my server froze up again and required another hard reset but unlike the previous event it was to far gone to get logged in. Started watching very closely after that and gain just around three days the server became unresponsive again but this time like the first I was able to login at the console before it went full zombie and noted the same process had my CPU pegged at 100% again. Since I still had access I shut it down more gently from there. On reboot this time I thought rather than chance not being able to get in again when/if it hung I'd just run the top process on the console so I could check in on it periodically to see what was happening ... that was about 14 days ago and it's been smooth sailing since. Not sure what's happening here but it seems as though so long as the server is running some task it doesn't nod off. The top process is pretty light weight and doesn't use a lot of resources so running it constantly doesn't impact anything else so I'll just keep it going as see what happens.
  14. Just out of curiosity what version are you running and have you upgraded recently? I'm one of a couple of people who've posted a similar problem where in we've been running version 5 with no problems whatsoever for an extended period of time then after upgrading to 6 started having problems with our servers becoming unresponsive. In my case not as frequently as you, after approximately three days of being up with no errors or problems it just stops responding. The last time it happened I had access to the console for a short time before it completely locked up and noted a process had pegged my CPU at 100% for and extended period before it went completely dark. I know I can resolve this problem by rolling back to version 5 but I sure hate to now that I have the docker running SABNZBd and Sonarr.
  15. Unfortunately my system completely locked up before I could get a look at the log and I had to hard reset it, which wiped the logs. If history is any indication I'll become unresponsive again in a few days and hopefully I'll be able to take another look
  16. I'm suspecting it's not a configuration issue ... I'm having almost exactly the same problem. I had tried once before to upgrade to 6 when it was still in beta and had exactly the same issue, about every three days the server would just become unresponsive and need to be forced down with a hard reset. At that time I was using and extremely vanilla setup, no plugins, no dockers just a few shares and decided to go back to version 5 until a stable version of 6 was out. Decided to use some time off at the holidays to upgrade to 6 and just as the last time a little after three days it went zombie on me.
  17. Hopefully someone will see this and give me a suggestion ... Recently upgraded to version 6 after running version 5 for several years and find myself experiencing a serious problem. After having been up and running for a little over four (4) days my unRaid server suddenly has suddenly gone into a sort of zombie mode. The web gui won't respond at all and shares are not available ... though oddly Sabnzbd running in a docker contain on the same machine is still responding and Sonarr seems to be accessible from some machines on my LAN but not others. The machine is responding to pings and the console is taking basic commands for the time being. I was going to restart the server from the console but I recall that when I experienced the same problem during an earlier aborted upgrade attempt when 6 was still in beta that all he logs got cleared .. Any suggestions on what to do at this point? UPDATE: Like I said I can still run commands from the console and after reading some other posts I ran top and saw this one process: PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME COMMAND 1857 root 20 0 546m 4308 786 S 100 0.1 776.32 shfs The time is constantly increasing ... Not sure what I'm looking at but guessing this process has spiked my CPU??? UPDATE II: oh well, just as with my last upgrade attempt the entire server eventually became unresponsive while looking at the documentation and trying to gather more information. The console stopped responding as did Sabnzbd. Hard Reset
  18. Okay, so I ... 1. Changed the Completed Download Folder target in the SABNbzd folders section to /downloads/complete 2. Added a path to the Sonarr settings of /downloads pointing to /mnt/cache/downloads 3. Just for kicks switched everything to bridged rather than host and it's all working now. Thanks for your help, never would have figured that out on my own. Incidentally, I started messing around with nzbget and ran into a similar problems where Sonarr couldn't find files to import even though they were in the download folder. I'll take what you gave me here and see if I can't figure it out tomorrow. Thanks again.
  19. Mmmmm not really certain, I vaguely recall somewhere in documentation host being the recommended setting? Maybe?
  20. Here's the SABNzbd folder settings. When I click on the browse tab it shows me the downloaded files
  21. Well here's the volume mappings. Not sure why I'd think about changing download clients though, SABNzbd is doing everything it's supposed to as far as I can tell, downloading to the folder I specify etc. It's Sonarr that is looking in the wrong place and can't seem to be pointed in the right direction unless you manually import and tell it to look in /data
  22. Just an FYI as I don't think this is unRaid specific problem ... still a small, though I think related problem. The repository I used to install Sonarr loaded up version 8 beta and even though my volume mappings point to the correct location for the completed SABNzbd download (ie /data /mnt/cache/appdata/sabnzbd/Downloads/complete/) the Completed Download Handling keeps looking in a nonexistent directory (/config/Downloads/complete/) for the completed downloads and failing. If I do a manual import and point it to the /data directory everything copies over so I know it's not permissions issue, but can't seem to figure out how to get the Completed Downloads Handling pointed in the correct direction. I posted in the Sonarr support forums already and several other people responded they're having the same problem with the same set up but thought I'd pass it along to anyone who might be interested.
