  1. Thanks, I'm just looking for a box. My only question is, can I use my same specs with the LSI controllers? I don't know how the front and backplanes work with so many drives. Is it just one cord for the front and one cord for the back that connect to (1) LSI raid controller. I have two currently. I'm new to chasis, so any help would be great. I'm looking at a 36 bay with sever rails and I have heard they are noisy so I would focus on a power supply with SQ within the model number
  2. I'm more interested in buying a chasis to use more drives and the hot swappable is a big plus. I have a new empty rack, so this unit which is 4 units will fit on my rack. The power consumption of 10 dollars more a month for the CPU isn't a big deal breaker. I'm okay using my parts assuming everything will work, but I'm not sure. My raid connectors have no more spots, but I'm assuming with these supermicro boxes I just need to connect the back and front plane and I'm fine? All I need is a box. Do you have an alternative with swappable drives? Also, the link you posted is for (1) CPU and this build has 2 CPU's. If that makes this a lot faster, the extra hundred bucks for the internals isn't a dealbreaker because I can repurpose my current server. Would I be able to use my current LSI raid controllers though? as I heaard the AOC-S2208L-H8IR 8 Ports SATA SASmay have issues. My current system is just a computer box with no swappable. This box runs 400-500 barebones.
  3. Hello, I'm struggling looking for the correct Supermicro Chasis to purchase. Basically I have a computer that I use for my server with 15 drives and I need a bigger box for my drives. I have a new rack delivered recently. I currently have an i5-3570k and 16gb ram with (2) LSI SAS 9207-8i SATA. Since I'm new to this, can someone confirm I can purchase a box similar to the one below and use it straight out of the box? I'm looking for the SQ power supply too to keep the system quiet. There are multiple box types ranging around 500-550 with shipping. The link below seems to come with a full server and rails, but not sure if I need anything else and if I can continue to use my same system. This system looks to be faster than mine as well, but not sure. Thanks https://www.ebay.com/itm/Supermicro-4U-36-Bay-LFF-Server-X9DRi-LNF-Xeon-8-core-3-3Ghz-64GB-HW-Raid-5-6-/133417769784
  4. How does one go about changing the theme? Is it as simple as downloading a theme and pasting it into appdata / ubooquity / themes? For some reason when I copy the files into that folder it says access denied. https://vaemendis.github.io/ubooquity-doc/pages/themes.html
  5. Hello, last night I received an error and was wondering if it should be of concern. Apr 30 21:21:10 tower kernel: traps: QtWebEngineProc[13898] trap int3 ip:14c187645413 sp:7ffcbc102520 error:0 in libQt5WebEngineCore.so.5[14c1850c7000+6c4e000]
  6. Hello, for the life of me I can't get my calibre-web to work outside with LetsEncrypt + DuckDNS + nginx? Does anyone know why? 1. I right clicked the LetEncrypt App and clicked edit and added my new duckdns to the subdomains (lets say calibrewebDNS) 2. I right clicked the DuckDNS App and clicked edit and added my new duckdns to the subdomains (lets say calibrewebDNS) 3. I then navigated to my appdata>letsencrypt>nginx>proxy-config and made a copy of calibre-web.subdomain.conf.sample and removed .sample from the end of the file. 4. Finally I edited the file with notepad and replaced "server_name calibre-web.*;" with "server_name calibrewebDNS.*;" I cant access the webui from calibrewebdns.duckdns.org
  7. Hello, I have a couple questions about setting up Calibre-Web with my LetsEncrypt. Below is my current config for Calibre-Web. Question 1 - My letsencrypt>nginx>proxy-confs has (2) files calbre-web.subdomain.conf.sample calibre-web.subfolder.conf.sample Which one these do I modify? I found this code on the github, but I'm not sure what I do with the information already on the file or which file to modify from above. location /calibre-web { proxy_pass http://<your-ip>:8083; proxy_set_header Host $http_host; proxy_set_header X-Forwarded-For $proxy_add_x_forwarded_for; proxy_set_header X-Scheme $scheme; proxy_set_header X-Script-Name /calibre-web; }
  8. I just copied it all over. But now I'm getting Array stopped - Too many devices The registered GUID does not match the USB Flash boot device GUID. Do I need to replace a new key?
  9. I just installed Unraid on a new flash drive with the USB unraid tool, inserted within my unraid server and it looks like everything is working correctly other than it being a fresh install. I also inserted my old USB within my windows computer and copied the whole USB to a backup dictionary. Are you saying I can just copy the config folder from the old USB to the new USB and im done? Thanks
  10. I inserted the USB within my windows 10 and immediately it said there was errors. It ran a check and came back saying no errors. Re-inserted within Unraid and it is stuck on loading /bzroot
  11. I'm thinking the same thing. I'm in the process of installing UNRAID on a new flash drive. Never have done this before and I'm not sure I backedup my flashdrive, so I don't know how to transfer my key, but I'll have feedback in the next couple minutes. How do you go about running chkdsk? Do I need to power down and do that through my windows 10 machine?
  12. I have since restarted my server and booted up in GUI mode. Now it is telling me all my disks are missing, yet they all boot up when restarting the server. It also shows the disk as "unassigned". The array cant be started and saying it's a stale configuration. My log is printing a red error which reads Tower Kernal: print_req_error: I/0 error, dev sda, sector 9476128 I still cant connect to unraid web ui from my desktop.
  13. This morning I woke up to my desktop computer unable to connect to my unraid server via the browser or file manager. I then went to my server machine and did a reset from my Unraid machine by typing "powerdown -r" After this, my unraid machine wouldn't start and stopped at "Loading /bzimage...". After a few hours of hard resets I finally got it to boot up after removing the USB and putting it into a different USB port Now my unraid shows my ip address and login on the server monitor, but I still can't connect to it via my other computers. I'm afraid to restart or it may not get back to this page and stuck at "Loading /bzimage..." Also on my Unraid server monitor, if I try to login, it freezes for about 1 min and does nothing. What do i do?
  14. Will do thanks. Been like this for years, so I assumed I was missing something. Thanks
  15. I have been using JDownloader for a while, but on Unraid when I paste multiple links within the clipboard window, my Jdownloader browser window goes white. It only works if I paste less than 10 links within the window. Is there anyway to prevent this or have Jdownloader reference a text file with more links? The jdownloader I am using is - by jlesage
  16. Thank you for the help. I will do as suggested. My one concern is I have no idea how to verify if any files are corrupted. I have so many pictures and it will be hard to review each file upon the completion of the re-build. How do you go about comparing thousands of files with their checksums? I used RCLONE in the past to backup my data offline. Does rclone do this?
  17. I have never had a failed hard drive. Would you recommend that before I replace the drive, I copy the contents to the new hard drive and then replace, or should I just remove the failed drive and the parity should re-create the contents from the removed damage drive? I also have offsite backups of the drive, however, my backup is about a month old and there are new files that I haven't backed up.
  18. In other words, I should backup the files and replace the drive? Is there a chance that any of the files are corrupt?

  20. I'm trying to sync disk4 within my array with an external disk that shows up in unassigned disk, so the external mirrors disk4. I think I have the code right, but any help please. I'm getting an error : error reading source directory: directory not found rclone sync /mnt/disk4/pictures/ /mnt/disks/external2/pictures/
  21. I'm having issues for best practices connecting to server files over wifi from my phone. <- I don't need to connect outside of my wifi. I am able to connect and view shares as normal, but only if I make all shares "Export - Yes" instead of my default "Export - Yes (Hidden)". With this being said, I have multiple users and I don't want to make every share viewable, as other users can now see them even if theycan't access them. Is there a best practice to this, so I don't show all these shares and only see the shares I have access to? I can also setup my file explorer on my phone to map each location if they're "Export - Yes (Hidden)", but then they're not group together within one "Lan/SMB" and makes me have multiple cloud/lan/smb logins which is hard to navigate. Is there something I can create, such as a "rootshare" but for a specific user and for only shares he/she has access to ?
  22. Looks like I fixed it. I had to make a new duckdns for whatever reason
  23. I've followed SpaceInvader videos regarding Nextcloud/Letsencrypt/Duckdns reverse proxy and I'm trying to mimic it for bitwarden to access outside of network but I can't get it working.
