  1. I have a USB 10 TB drive used for backups, this is somewhat of a new setup trying to get my backups running smoothly. The drive has two partitions, 1 is EFI, it mounts just fine after a disconnect. The second partition is my exFAT partition that contains all my backup data. I am using https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0151BDW9S/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_c_api_i_FTrcEbFW9RAHX as the disk bay which I am thinking might be the culprit. I can remount this using the nonempty option for fuse but thats using cli and a manual thing i have to do every once in awhile. I am looking for suggestions on what to do. I am considering buying a sata to usb connector that is not a case and see how that goes. 2. I love unraid, i love how i can add any size drive that isnt bigger then parity and also directly use a drive when i want. love docker and vm support. the new login is nice. would like to see usb backup baked in with snapshots...a way to do pushover notifications, not sure if that exists
  3. built my first unraid this early year. I run plex, pihole, and smb sharing. About to build one for my dad. It's been flawless. Love it. keep up the good work.
  4. Tossed it around and finally got my parts picked and shipped, comes monday :D. Its a starter box, planning to get a few docker containers going, super excited. also twitter is @scotticles and im following. first build for unraid: ryzen 3, starting with 8 gb probably bump that up in a few months, i like my case i picked 8 storage bays. https://pcpartpicker.com/user/scottscreations/saved/#view=mgYJbv
  5. Did your friend end up buying the server? I am considering this one as well. I am a little worried about the noise level but it would be in a closet behind a closed door...and was looking at doing 5tb drives.
