  1. doh... guess Rick and Morty will have to wait
  2. Normal to not see your files during the rebuild-tree? All my shares (NFS and Samba) are empty and tons of these in the syslog... 3. Cheers mate. You are such a superman on this forum. Saving us citizens daily.
  4. Ok ran reiserfsck --check /dev/md11 and got the following... Comparing bitmaps..vpf-10640: The on-disk and the correct bitmaps differs. Bad nodes were found, Semantic pass skipped 50 found corruptions can be fixed only when running with --rebuild-tree Am I good just running reiserfsck --rebuild-tree /dev/md11 or should I add any options like '-S' or '--scan-whole-partition'?
  5. Thanks so much for the reply. Did as you instructed and the array came back up. Kudos. Started a parity check and disk 11 eventually red balled again killing the check. Tons of write errors, so confident the drive is shot. See syslog _disk11_fail attached. Replaced with a new 6tb and currently rebuilding which seems to be going ok with the exception of these errors in the current syslog.. Assuming I need to wait till the rebuild is finished, would I then run a reiserfsck --check against disk 11, or should I kick off a parity check first and go from there? syslog_disk11_fail syslog
  6. Running version 5.0.5. Got a red ball on one of my disks (PL1331LAGRTP6H) a week or so ago. Smart report and test came back ok, so figure it was the sata controller or the cable. Moved the drive to a different controller with a different cable and went through the unassign and then reassign the disk procedure to start rebuilding it. A few hours into the rebuild another disk (PL1331LAGSAUDH) red balled which seemed to have halted the rebuild. Unfortunately the smart report shows the drive is failing. I can still access the drive, however the data looks corrupt and I can only see ~12gb of the 3.7tb via samba. So as of now, my array has PL1331LAGRTP6H with an orange ball that was in the middle of rebuilding and now PL1331LAGSAUDH with a red ball that seems screwed. Have a new 6tb drive handy. Have attached smart reports for both drives and a syslog from last reboot. Sorry, should of saved the syslog when the second drive fell over. Currently have the array stopped and it's showing 'configuration valid'. Hope someone can help. Cheers. syslog PL1331LAGRTP6H.txt PL1331LAGSAUDH.txt
  7. one last update for those who stumble on this thread looking for answers to their own issues. array is back and parity is rebuilt. updated M1015 to P14 IT firmware and bios. Updated mobo bios to 12f and updated unRaid to latest RC5 build. Sleep is now functional again without dropping a drive. Changing onboard SATA to AHCI mode from IDE caused unRaid to freeze while booting. Had to set it back to IDE mode. Otherwise everything is running better than ever.
  8. swapped the 1.5tb with a new WD Green 3tb. Array rebuilt fine and then kicked off a parity check which ran w/o error. guess i can mark this one as solved by workaround.
  9. thanks guys. went ahead and ordered a new 3tb drive as i'm not comfortable leaving the array unprotected if it's not a relatively simple fix, which this doesn't appear to be. if things can return to normal by putting in a 2tb+ disk, then that seems the easiest resolution. will update the controller and mobo fw once parity's been rebuilt and the new drive's had a few days break in. cheers.
  10. Mobo is Gigabyte - GA-MA785GM-US2H. HPA disabled. Drive was connected to an IBM M1015 controller (flashed to a LSI SAS2008 in IT Mode).
  11. Doubt it's a host file issue as you can resolve the IP and name correctly when you ping them. Hmm.. Maybe moving your router fooled your Win7 machine to thinking it was a new network connection. Open the "Network and Sharing Center' on your Windows box. First make sure the network you're connected to under 'View active networks' is setup as 'Home network'. If it says Work or Public, change it. Once you've confirmed that, click the "Change advanced sharing settings" link on the left column. Make sure 'Network Discovery' is turned on.
  12. So this is a weird one. Looked around the forum and couldn't find anyone who's also run into this issue. Hopefully one of you can help. Running 5.12a which, since adding an IBM M1015 (flashed to IT mode) started dropping a drive from the array whenever it goes to sleep and is woken up. First time it happened, I was able to remove the drive from the array, re-add it and rebuild successfully. Stopped putting the server to sleep after that and just powered it off and on as needed. Server's been rock solid for the last 6 months doing it that way. Unfortunately the other night my better half put the server to sleep accidentally and it dropped the same drive again, a 1.5tb Samsung F2. This time the array thinks the missing drive is supposed to be 2tb and won't rebuild, because the drive is not large enough. Here's my syslog. Disk 7 is the culprit. www.pygmalionarts.com/unraidsyslog.txt This is what the array looked like right when it woke up from sleep. Said everything was online, but noticed several files missing from folders on the network which probably explains the errors. Array offline. Getting drive too small message when trying to add Disk 7 back to the array. Array online with Disk 7 disabled. Array thinks it's supposed to be 2TB. Ignore the drive change from sdl to sdf for Disk 7. I wanted to move the drive off the IBM M1015 to the onboard SATA to see if that made any difference. Any ideas how to get unRaid to rebuild or am I going to have to buy a 2TB+ drive? Thanks.
  13. The site works for me. yeah back up now. had a site security certificate expiration error earlier. looking forward to trying this. wanted a simple 1 click way to put my server to sleep from both an android and iphone. guess 2 clicks isn't bad.
  14. Can anyone repost bonienl's SF package? The bergware site is down. :'(
