Hi guys i need help asap. I bought two 6tb drives to replace my parity and disk 1 drive since i was running out of space . I followed the wiki instructions but now i've booted up the array i am now told Parity and disk 1 is missing or wrong. I don't see anywhere where that says upgrade so wondering how i proceed.

Hey guys, my unraid 9tb is starting to get capped out so i was thinking about switch from 2tb to 4tb. I'm unsure what the standard is now a days but I'm unsure with all different colours. I can't seem to replicate the problem on my server. Can you gather some info for me? Specifically the following: 1. go to /boot/config/plugins/sabnzbd/sabnzbd.cfg, what does it have in there under PORT=? 2. go to your config directory, and look in sabnzbd.ini and there should be an entry for port = ? 3. when you hit 'apply' on the plugin page does that update both to your new port number? (change the port to a new one to be sure) 1. port says 8081 2. port says 8081 3. both change but sabnzbd setting configuration stays stuck on 8080. To be honest not big deal just means need type it in then click. Unrelated i'm trying to find nzbmegasearch ApiModule.py which needs a tvrage url change but can't find as only thing in config directory is the config.ini

1. Can you tell me which version of unraid you are using, also do you have SSL set to on? If so, what are your settings set to for each of the ports? 2. That's really strange. I would give your system a reboot as it seems to be a problem with the pid file. This happens if you restart nzbdrone from inside the app rather than using my plugin. Using the app to restart prevents the pid file from being created. 3. After I add the ability to change repo with my plugins I'll work on getting multiple instances but it's a trickier process to set up. Might just make an anime sickbeard version instead. 1. I'm still on 5.05 not using ssl but it is set to port 9090 2. Give that a go maybe it will fix the problem with sabnzbd. 3. Sounds awesome i'm looking forward to it

Hey Phaze thanks so much for the plugins. I have few problems i ran into 1. Sabnzbd plugin is stuck to 8080 although i'm running it on 8081. Everything works fine but just can't change port in settings page. 2. NZBDrone plugin is stuck to stopped although the program running fine too. 3. Posted this on inflleuncers topic but how would i go about running two sickbeards plugins. I want one to be master and the other to be anime. I don't think just case changing plg name but i need second plg installed in the config/plugins folder. There was an alternative by same developer of the anime branch XDM:https://github.com/lad1337/XDM but haven't seen anyone pick it up

i can stop it from running it it just ignores me basicly Edit: It's definitely was couchpotato plugin i rebooted and deleted all related files in plugins folder and now system boots without hitch just going to try reinstalling it see if that fixes it. Edit Edit: Reinstalled theplg and everything seems to be running again although unraid refuses to show up on 1 pc

Hey i just upgraded from 5.x to 5.0.5 worked all the problems i was having that prevented system from booting. Now i can get into webpage but everytime i start arry the whole system hangs and screen freezes right after couchpotato plugin is started. No idea how to fix this

Ok i get it that this is best i can get with what i have. I just want to optimize the system this level. Well I'm running it fanless but theres fans in the case but i never attached them should i just go ahead and do it? Also what about the sata drives is it worth replacing them as i am tempted to go upto 4tb reds from what i have.

Ok its about 57 watts idle (all spun down but cache) all disks spun up 73 watts normal usage 62 watts

ok the kill a watt thingy majig arrived this morning. I just shut down my server plugged it in and booted up. I set it to watts as thats what everyone talking about. Initial boost went up to 136 watts and around 80 - 90 watts while loading. Once unraid was up it sat at around 68.5 without me brining it online. Once online doing parity checks it sitting at around 90 I'll post an update on spun up and idle stats

They are so cheap. Then upgrade all the drives to 4TB. That's exactly what I'm doing. The OP is running 2TB drives. Upgrade 'em. You'd be amazed what people will pay for old drives on FleaBay if you list carefully. I sold a 500GB drive for almost £20 yesterday. The 4TB drive arriving tomorrow cost me £106. You do the math! I'm at 22TB on server 1, that will go to 24TB tomorrow when a new drive arrives (20TB usable). Server 2 has 6x2TB drives. Those will get upgraded to 4TB drives eventually. If you need more than 48TB, then go for a Norco or similar. It's enough for me. I also only switch on the second server once a week, or maybe even once a month, as it's long-term storage only. I made the mistake of trying to run 20+ small drives in one server and it's a waste of time and money, IMO. Sounds interesting. Do they work in conjunction with unraid or are they standalone. I might Look into it for some long term storage.

I looked at that before i made my unraid but didn't quite get it and see how it fit my needs. Pus i will have to replace the parity drive to match but i think i need to replace it regardless as i've just realised it and cache are using the sata connections. Although i'm attempting save money in long run i still want it to be efficient in what it does. I've seen a lot of mention of wd red so are those any good. Running fanless think worth throwing on a few fans? Also realized i never setup bios properly as recommended in guide i saw with forcing ahci etc is it to late to do that?

well once you mentiond paths i had a look over all my paths and went back Sabnzbd > categories and noticed the path was /mnt/user/.app/sabnzbd/Downloads/complete/Movies I'm an idiot. i changed it to /mnt/cache/.app/sabnzbd/Downloads/complete/Movies and all looking good again just need to transfer all files over from previous than i can delete it. Hiya guys I'm having a problem with a new disk i added. I have Sabnzbd installed on cache drive under hidden .app folder. Now for some reason the completed downloads folder is being moved to disk 4 when previously ignored and this is causing mess with sickbeard and coachpotato downloads as post processing relies on folder. Is there anyway to keep said folder stay on cache?

I have prolem where not all disks being used up properly. im on version: 5.0-beta14 Problem is i have 3 2 tb disk, 1 partition and 1 cache drive but although setup my user shares to Allocation method: fill up Min. free space: 16000000 I have Disk 1 with 0 mb free, Disk 2 12gb, disk 3 5gb. I thoguht it would fill up one after another leaving min free space but just doing randomness. At the moment all current downloads seem to be sitting on cache. Is there anyway i can get it to reallocate disk usage so split evenly as its being a pain to move files around as always get no space error. Also my read seem very high in the 1m region even after reboots.

I cleared mine out but made sure to uncheck enable install on reboot and reboot unraid to make sure. I'm not 100% if correct way but i've had no issues since no longer use unmenu but plugins for new beta and usually downloads packages as per need basis. I would copy it somewhere else first to see any issues with reboot before clearing out

Figured it out problem with windows 7 not unraid Going to tower and open folder properties and clear history under dfs tab fix this for me if anyone else having issues.

followed read me but didn't have files that needed to be deleted I just ran permissions script under upgrade utilities but all it did was unlock one share everything else still unavailable

Just upgraded to latest beta from 4.7 but now eveytime i go into network/tower i try to go into my shares it asks for password and won't allow me into flash or disk1 says location unavaialable
