resurrecting this old thread just to say you can install virt-manager fairly easily on windows thanks to Windows Subsystem Linux (WSL). You'll merely need to enable WSL then install your favorite distro in WSL, then install virt-manager on that distro. Finally you'll need to install an X window manager like Xming on your windows machine.

I am new to unraid and evaluating it. I am transferring data from my old NAS to my new unraid box using rsync on the cli. When I attempt to push the command to the background with "nohup &" but when I log off and back on my rsync job has been terminated. Help me understand why this is.

Can we get a VDI server with Unraid ?

resurrecting this old thread, the KVM-VDI project seems to be dead for a few years but I found this the other day looking for a open source VDI solution. I am wondering if anyone else would be interested, maybe we can find a maintainer to support packaging it for unraid?
