  1. Hi, I'm also seeing the issue of a disks, shares going away from the remote machine, but still on the server. From my Win7 machine I would be happily connected and see files and then poof "File Not Found". If I connect from another machine say a XP box to same said files they are there. I usually telnet on the tower and search for the smbd process for the win7 user and kill it. That then resolves the issue for another period of time. There is nothing in the syslog that indicate anything untowards. Looks like smbd is crapping out or getting it knickers in a twist for some reason. Can't remember when I started seeing this but it's happening on the latest few releases. cheers.
  2. I had this issue after installing 5RC4 and started plugin in plugins. My emHttp would seg fault. So I looked at top and saw that I had very little free mem left. I checked the size of my root disk issuing a du -sxh and found that this was 95% the size of the amount of memory that I had installed. As / is stored in RAM any logs or other system related filed written too are also stored there it will use up mem. So installing another 2G of memory and the problem went away. Just my contribution to this fault. Jfp
  3. Hi, I too am seeing this issue. I recently installed 5.0RC4 and on one particular drive copying files or doing other things like mkdir over SMB either times out or causes Win7 to error with "Could not find this item. This is no longer located in \\192.168.1.1\disk6\folder" Looks like either Win7 or SMB is disconnecting from each other mid transfer or operation. Is there a way to debug this to get down to what the issue is? Cheers Jfp
  4. Hi, I've created an Unraid system based on a Gigabyte GA-8I865G775-G LGA 775 Celeron-D 2.8Ghz. It all works and every thing is fine. But it takes Ages to boot. Nearly 10 Minutes. If I boot from my laptop its relatively fast. A minute. Basically I can see that the USB card is accessed to load the BZIMAGE file to load the system into memory. But it take 10minutes to load this file. Has anyone come across this issue before? Even if it where running at just USB 1.1 it should be a lot faster than it is? Thanks JFP
