  1. Thanks for the prompt reply. I appreciate the help and I'll test it this way, but i really want to know what i need to do to enable rsync on my backup account user.
  2. As the title suggests I'm trying to backup my synology server to unraid. I am not using ssh keys but just standard user/pass. i thought it would be as simple as adding the new user to an allow list of some sort.. I can get hyper backup to do this if i use the root credentials but i cannot seem to find how to grant a "backup" user rsync privileges?
  3. Ok thanks for helping out the n00b guys. Two things i learnt, the firmware mismatch and the cables can be different! I've corrected the firmware to 20.00.06.00-IT (making this now a 9207-8iIT HBA) and i'm ordering some new cables today and hopefully this will sort the issue! Again I appreciate the speedy help and I shall keep you updated on the cables.
  4. Hey guys, Just trying to spin up my first unraid server! It is booting correctly but i cannot see any HBAs or HDDs. I have a SAS9217-8i reported as a LSI2308-IT (as reported by the avago config util) and plugged into this i have 5 4TB WD reds. The HDDs spin up when the server powers on but i cannot see them in the unraid config anywhere. See attached pics. Side note, lssas or lslsi returns nothing in command. I appreciate your help in advanced.
