  1. I have an issue with my Windows 10 vms, I have been trying to go over many videos and tutorials. Tried re-creating the VM, tried passing the vbois, tried recreating the vm/vm disk, and went through several SpaceInvaderOne videos about GPU passthrough and still can't get this glitched system to work. I have a AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1920X, in a X399 AORUS Gaming 7 motherboard. As of right now I have my main gaming/driver Windows 10 VM that has a GTX 1080, and works fine with auto launch until its rebooted (by me or for updates). Once the system reboots it will never get video again. I can change the settings to use VNC and can use the system without a GPU passthrough just fine. So far I can't get a video display again until after I reboot the entire server then on the VM's first initial boot do I get video. Also I have noticed that some of the names for the usb devices have been getting mixed up. Such as, Razer USA HD Webcam C615 (1532:0067) which is mixing my Logitech C615 webcam with my Razer Trinity mouse. Plus right above that is the actual webcam: Logitech HD Webcam C615 (046d:082c). IDK if that has anything to do with my boot issue though. I just want to be able to reboot my windows VM without freaking rebooting my entire server. I was originally hoping to get another GPU to have a dual PC but if I can't even get one VM to reboot idk how I can use more.
  2. I can confirm this indeed works. Though now when I edit my VM I get "Invalid CPU feature name" and the system gets pretty sluggish too. For instance I usually use all the extra cores/components for my gaming/editing VM that I can. So I have 16-12 virtual cores 12-10gb of RAM and a GTX 1080. With this modification I usually get barely 40-50fps in Genshin Impact, with CPU, RAM, and DISK usage almost maxing out. Its like I am playing on an amd ryzen 2400G again. But its fine for now. At least I can play with my friends. Really hope they disable that check for VM/shadow anti-cheat. I just wanted to warn people that it can drop your performance a lot. Still testing some adjustments though.
  3. I am going to upgrade my flash drive to see if this fixes my ongoing issue.
  4. I have been using UNRAID for some time now and I have never been able to get my EVGA NVIDIA GTX 1080 GPU to load up after a reboot on my Windows 10 VM. I get a black screen whenever I load up. I also will often run into corruption/unable to read errors when using other drives in my system as gaming "NAS" storage or UNRAID "shared" drives. My linux machine running my (would be dedicated Minecraft server) works fine but every time my Windows 10 VM has an issue like games not loading and "not responding" after X amount of time/amount of closing the software; I require a VM reboot. But if I reboot my Windows 10 VM it only shows a black screen and I am not even sure it boots after a reboot sometimes I get errors on my UNRAID interface after trying to reboot the VM. The only way to work around this is to completely restart my entire rig.... Which means shutting down any other server I may have been running or VM. It sounds similar to the AMD reboot bug. But I have NVIDIA so idk what is going on. Maybe it's my flash drive and somehow it needs to be replaced or something because I start to get the application issues when my network drives show offline in Windows Explorer. But that still leaves my windows computer unable to reboot even if the network drives seem fine. I also notice that when the network drives go offline sometimes the VM section in the UNRAID user interface will disappear.... IDK what to do and its been a whole year of frustration with this build. Maybe I need to completely restart the build or something. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. 5. Yea it is strange. I don't remember updating the server or making any other changes. The only thing I may have changed is placing the VM files (domain) on a cache drive but as far as I remember this issue occurred before; and placing it on a cache drive was one of my attempts to fix the issue. I have attached my diagnostics log to this reply. I have a Linux Minecraft server and some other docker/apps running as well just so your aware of those extra things. I really appreciate anything you can offer to help so thanks. tower-diagnostics-20191127-1929.zip
  6. Hi I'm relatively new to Unraid and so far have had a good experience. I've created a gaming VM as my main computer with an EVGA GTX 1080 SC and been fine with it for several months now. Only recently my windows installation corrupted and I had to re-install my VM. But now with any VM I create the GTX will not display after a reset. It seems to get stuck and I can't even remotely connect. At first I thought it was a bad driver and installed an older driver but it happens no matter what I have installed. The only way so far has been to reboot the entire system (Unraid server) in order to get the GTX to display again. I run Minecraft and other game servers on the machine and I don't want to have to restart those every time windows requires an update/reboot or an application restarts my VM.
