    I ordered the Board What's with the IT mode, read it here in the other Thread. But why is that necessary?

    Ah ok perfect. I thought with green are exactly the WD Green meant, and not the category <=5900rpm. So then it' fine for me and I go for the SS-400FL2 which is the successor from SS-400FL and has same 33A for 12V. I could easy buy the SS-460FL2 which has 38A, but of course I want the smallest W as possible to have better efficiency.

    Hey Thx, I read the first 3 posts. But muy question was how much A the RED's need. If it's 1,73A peak as You write then it's less then the calculation for the green's in the first post. Then the Sea Sonic SS-400FL2 would be fine.

    Hello, I am planing to build a unraid Server with 12 x 4TB WD RED HDD's. How much A should my Power Supply have? On the WD page it says the drive need 250mA, but that sound to good, or? I am planing to buy a Sea Sonic SS-400FL2 which has 33A on 12V, but I am not shure if this is enough? Thx

    Hey spylex, How is the board running? Any problems so far? I am planing on a unraid Server with 12HDD (not ESXi) so it seems perfect for me.

    Hello, I am building buy first unraid Server. Starting with 8 HDDs and want to be able to upgrade to 15HDDs. I will use ASUS M4A78LT-M with an X2 240E. I read that the Corsair Netzteil 500 CX V2 is good for 15HDDs. https://www.digitec.ch/ProdukteDetails2.aspx?Reiter=Details&Artikel=219296 But I want to use 3TB and in the future 4TB drives. Will the PSU still be enough, or should I go for a bigger one? THX Edit: I think I will go with the 600CX V2 which has 40A, just to be safe.

    Hi Rajahal, First of all, Thx for Your Blog. It helps a lot to find hardware for an unraid Server. I have seen You had as a Budget Board the ASUS M4A78LT-M. But now its crossed out. Is it still good, or did You have some problems with it. Its the cheapest board I can find here in Switzerland and I want to use it with an ATHLON II X2 240E to have some power for VM Ware Server. I am planing to use unraid 5.x with 3TB drives (starting with 8 and later go to 12HDDs).
