Did you manage to figured out why PF doesn't work?

@binhex don't you have a clue by any chance what might be wrong with port forwarding?

I do have similar issue: I'm not a big expert in the networking but all other services setup in a similar way (including the VPN server) works perfectly fine, when the only Minecraft server works only via LAN. Even via VPN it is shown as a server is unavailable.

Will be glad if anyone can share all sorts of ideas to test

You are using a old template, the error comes because you have separate folder mappings for clips and recordings media. You have to remove the container and use the new template just installing the app again.

 

The only mapping you need for media is "/media/frigate"

I didn't change anything at all in the original template, but as you can see its failing.

I can confirm that the real database location is here:
/media/frigate/clips/frigate.db

and  '/media/frigate/frigate.db' does not exist

I've upgraded from the latest release 0.8.4 to 0.9.1 and made required config changes, so that part was processed well according to the log, however every time I do call Frigate to start it fails with an error in the log:

frigate Invalid cross-device link: '/media/frigate/clips/frigate.db' -> '/media/frigate/frigate.db'

 

Any ideas why need to be changed or why its complaining in all 0.9.X versions, but does work fine with the version 0.8.4

Thanks, I'll try to swap them around, even though my problem is with HP one not an LSI controller.

Just to clarify: when they were "in the wrong slots" in your case, they were not visible even in the BIOS or only in Unraid as in my case?

You have to isolate it for use in a VM (Tools - System Devices)

Hi Squid, thanks for checking but, no it's not that one.

There are 3 HDD related devices in total:
1) Hp Smart Array P420i in HBA mode which is built-in - it works fine

2) There is LSI SAS2008 in HBA mode same works fine

3) HP sc11xe hba which is not visible anywhere in Unraid

Hi All,

 

I've recently acquired HP ML350 G8 which has HBA card: "hp sc11xe hba"
which is in use to attach tape drive.

I did a bit of searching/reading and aware that Unraid itself doesn't have any backup soft to work with the tape

but I'd like to path it through to the Windows VM and try to use it from there.

 

However when I start playing with it, I've figured out with surprise that Unraid doesn't see this card at all, like it's not exist

(it is perfectly visible in Bios, during startup and even in ILO (without the name though))

 

Does anyone have any ideas what direction I might to continue my searches or you think there is no hope left in my case?

But what you can do is flash a regular BIOS... but please be aware that this could toally destroy your card...

you can in theory, you can't on practice.

It was tested already and even though its possible to hack programming tool for to not complain about BIOS version's mismatch, GPU itself doesn't accept new regular BIOS. the only way (and this time its hypothetical ) is to flash regular BIOS on programator

Thanks for advise Jorge, however when you say "new config" can you clarify what exactly is going to be new with new config? E.g. all Unraid OS will look like after "Factory Reset" or just new array will be created but all shares, Dockers, VMs etc. will remain untouched or even some 3rd scenario?

I probably can download trial unraid and play myself, but if some one can advise from practice it might save some time.

I do apologies if this topic been discussed already, but quick search didn't give me a clear answer on the question.

 

My request sounds very simple and straightforward but want to protect myself from doing something stupid which can ruin everything or significant part...

 

I do have unRaid 6.8.3 with 6 SAS drives connected to Dell perc h310 in HBA (IT) mode.

I want (need?) just replace HBA card to HP Smart Array P420i which is also in HBA (IT) mode.

 

My problem is: when I did test run, I've figured out that all HDD's IDs got changed with new HBA (I still can guess which drive was on which position, its not a problem, but exact IDs are different now) and unRaid is complaining about too many missing disk (or whatever is exact error)

 

Please kindly advise how I can migrate to new HBA without loosing not only data on drives (its pretty clear that if I'll remain the order data will stay in disks) but all Unraid configs as well, as I do have lots of config changes made here and there and don't want even try to repeat from scratch (and I'm worrying it will required if I chose the option "Create New Config")
