mickeykool
I have read that drives w/ HPA is a no no. Well I have 2 drives that have has it and one is a data and other is a parity drive. I plan on getting this HITACHI Deskstar 5K3000 drive anyway and replace it as a parity drive. Once that is done then use the other drive as a data drive but the question is that do I still have to go through the hassle to remove the HPA on the ohter 2 "HPA" data drives? Link to comment

Yes, and preferably before you update to 4.7 or later. Also, if you can not disable HPA in some way on your motherboard you should consider getting a new motherboard. Link to comment
