Dieter Koblenz
I'm having a strange issue with the unRAID flash drive. It worked flwless in the beginning, but the past three days I've been getting flash errors. Ok: I abused the flash drive: I did have to reboot multiple times and I have had system crashes at several times (high CPU tmp, weird errors, other issue). So after two reboots because of a failed flash I replaced the drive, restored my backup and continue... ah no. After a couple of minutes I got another error on my new device.. Any hints? Can't replace the drive again with my license.. (Added error log from my phone) starbase-syslog-20210304-1929.zip Edited March 4, 2021 by Dieter Koblenz Quote Link to comment

Dieter Koblenz
And with the third usb stick, seemingly undamaged, it happened again a couple of times. The latest diagnostics zip is attached. starbase-diagnostics-20210318-1326.zip Quote Link to comment
limetech
Yes your syslog is filled with flash failure messages. I'd guess that the USB controller on your motherboard is failing. Maybe take a look at your motherboard manual and find another usb port which is on a different controller. 1 Quote Link to comment
Dieter Koblenz
I'll use a different controller, it's a rather new motherboard. I'll see if I can find a tool to extensively test this. Before unraid I ran Win 10 24/7 without USB problems. It seems my mouse is connected to the same controller. Quote Link to comment
Dieter Koblenz
Some feedback should be in order, after changing the stick to a different controller I haven't had any problems. The controller I used before still has my keyboard and mouse attached and doesn't seem to fail at all. I guess the motherboard is to blame then. 1 Quote Link to comment
