Hikari
Hello all! I'm having some trouble figuring out how to get my AOC-S3008L-L8E HBA card (apparently a LSI 9300-8i from my understanding) to show up on my Supermicro x10dru-i+ Motherboard... Its supposed to already be flashed to IT mode based on the Ebay listing.. But I'm not exactly sure how to check. I have searched around various places, but cannot seem to find hardly anything about this. I know that it is not showing up as a device within unRaid, and I am not seeing a single thing in the POST sequence referring to the card... I managed to find a SINGLE mention of something like this happening to someone else HERE, but after trying for ever to figure out 'which slot' was being referenced in the BIOS, and switching everything to x8 modes, it is still not showing up during POST and is not even detected as being connected by the IPMI (Image Attached)... I'm at a loss for this... I've already been having a pretty crap experience with this server... First it was 'stolen' by a FedEx Employee, and took them 2 weeks to 'find out who did it' and get the server back.. Then one of the sticks of RAM I had purchased for it, was bad, and the seller is taking their time replying back about a replacement/refund. Then found out that the USB Drive I was planning on using, has a generic GUID so I cannot use it... and now I cannot get this HBA Card to be detected at all.... I'm getting my spirits beaten left, right, and center at this point.. Any help, would be incredibly, amazingly, appreciated... Edited March 11, 2021 by Hikari Quote Link to comment

I'm sorry for the late reply. Turns out the HBA was faulty. It had missing resistors and capacitors all throughout the back of the board.. like someone took an exacto-blade to them and just, carved them out... I got a replacement today, and plopped it in, and everything immediately showed up and worked. So much for trying for hours to get a dead card to work 1 Quote Link to comment
