February 15, 201115 yr How to proceed transferring drives to new SATA ports on new MB? Make screenshot of current setup od assigned drives and then do 1-by-1 assigning them to correct slots? How about parity drive? Now I have it plugged in SATA port1 on MB. Will it be ok to plug it in SATA port1 on new MB and everything should be fine?
February 15, 201115 yr Take a screenshot of your devices page, that's the easiest way. The only drive that is crucial that you get right is the parity drive, as messing that one up could result in data loss. If you put your data drives in a different order that's not a huge deal, you won't lose any data. If you go off the screenshot you should be able to assign them all into the same slots and have no issues. The physical SATA ports on the motherboard don't matter. unRAID will be able to figure it out no matter where you plug the drives in.

Could you please be a little more detailed as how to approach the parity drive migration? How to not risk any data loss? I mean, the sata port1 on current mb should translate to sata port1 on new mb, or no? What should I be really careful about?

When you make a print out of the devices page you should have a list of hard drive model, serial number and which slots they occupy. Just make sure when you have your new machine booted up in unRAID that you assign the drive exactly the same was as before. Don't worry about the sata ports, just make sure that the same drive goes into the same slots. So for example, if WDC_WD20EADS-14R6B0_WD-WCAVY2351233 was your parity drive, just make sure that is assigned to the parity slot in your new machine.
