OrangeLoon
Howdy, Please read through before commenting. I am having intermittent hard drive errors. Today the errors are listed below. I have tried to determine the cause to no avail. I had the system up and running for over a year with no issues. Then hard drive issues appeared. I originally had 8 drives and the problem started on one and migrate to another. Replacing those two with new drives and the problem still existed. Here is everything I have tried : I have reinstalled the OS, removed all drives (except the parity and SSD cache), added two new hard drives (precleared), replaced all cables, and replaced the mother board. The only options left are to replace the memory and/or power supply - both do not seem to fit the symptoms. Any suggestion would be appreciated. Oh, and if the real problem is OHS (Operator Head Space) then best to tell me to just bury the computer as my ego would probably not handle it well. JorgeB
There's no SMART report for parity (ATA2) in the diags, see if you can get one manually: smartctl -x /dev/sdc Quote Link to comment

JorgeB
Disk looks fine, if you already replaced cables (and board) try with a newer power supply if available. Quote Link to comment
OrangeLoon
Thanks - will update in a couple of days after the swap and testing. Quote Link to comment
OrangeLoon
Many TB of data moved so swapping out the power supply seems to solve the problem! Thanks for the help. Edited March 21, 2021 by OrangeLoon Spelling 1 Quote Link to comment
