lol, and the counter doesn't show, and I thought it was 15min since my password manager filled in the old/wrong password, but apparently it was 14min AND X seconds since my last try.

Now logging in copy/pasting the correct password and I get another fresh 15min timer. That makes it 29min30sec lockout.

    As its not been checked lately. Today I did this clean up method and its worked perfectly.
    rm /var/log/pwfail/YourIPaddress
