SAS SSD

Recommended Posts

Hi.

Unraid Wiki says "never ever even think about using ssd drives as data/parity" ;)))

OK OK but:

1. I assume that above applies to consumer grade SSD's, not something like this right: https://www.samsung.com/semiconductor/ssd/enterprise-ssd/MZILT1T9HBJR-00007/ ?

2. If answer to Q1 is "yes you can" so what kind of parity drive will be recommended? One of these 1,92Tb SAS SSDs or maybe just normal ~2Tb SSD or even traditional ~2Tb HDD?

3. Last but not least if answer to Q1 is "yes you can" so do i need any cache drive?

Thanks :)
