Multiple Cache Drives

Featured Replies

Hello! I added a secondary cache drive to my array, however, it says "part of a pool" instead of showing the capacity. Is this normal? I'm a new UnRaid user, however, I'd expect it to expand the cache's storage which I'm not seeing.

Thanks in advance!

Unraid defaults to RAID1 for pooled devices, so you decreased the pool capacity to 119GB because that's the amount of data that is able to be stored with RAID1 redundancy.

You can change the desired RAID level.

Cool! How would I go about changing the RAID level? I stopped the array, however, I don't see anything. I was thinking adding more slots for cache would do something, however, I can't find anything.

TIA
