Cache Constantly Full

Featured Replies

Hello! I was wondering if someone could help me diagnose my issue with my mover/cache drive. I have two cache drives setup in a RAID 0 configuration. However, they're constantly filling up.

I watched a few YouTube videos and was recommended to install a plugin by the name of: "CA Mover Tuning."

I've noticed, if I manually activate the mover, it will move the data over to the array, but, it's not doing it automatically. I have the mover, in CA Mover Tuning, to run every 3 hours, but still, I end up with a full cache drive.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I can send diagnostics if needed.

If you are filling cache every 3 hours then you should reconsider whether to use cache for those writes.

Don't transfer more at one time than cache can hold.

Mover is intended for idle time. It is impossible to move from cache to array as fast as you can write to cache. Writing to cache and also trying to move from cache at the same time (by running mover more frequently) just makes everything even worse.
