Confluence

Has anybody been able to get Confluence up and running in unRAID?  I've been trying all night with Confluence and Postgres.  But I'm stuck on the Confluence startup configuration page, as I'm not able to connect Confluence to Postgres.  Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

I set it up about 4 years ago, so I'm a bit fuzzy on the details, but went something like this:

  1. Install postgres
  2. create database and user in postgres
  3. install jira/bitbucket/confluence
  4. on jira/bitbucket/confluence startup screen, point setup to postgres database and user

Most of the Atlassian stack is fussy about which postgres version you use, so make sure you check your on the right version.

Ah, perfect!  Thanks alot for the hint!  I didn't consider that Confluence needs a specific Postgres version to work.  I see now that the latest Postgres server version is v13, while Confluence only support up to v11.  After downgrading Postgres to v11, Confluence was happy!

On another note, why couldn't that silly piece of software (i.e. Confluence) say that the database is of a wrong version, so people don't waste hours on cryptic, non-informative error messages?  Oh well...
