Symadic William
I using "Disk Share" to share root of one of my harddisk. (Settings as "Private") When I create folders under that share, it will auto. make the new folder as "Public" share under "User Share"... Is it a normal behavior? And how can I remove those "public share" from list? Quote Link to comment

Click on the Shares tab. Go to User Shares. Click on the Share-name in list on the left side. Click on the NFS Security Settings and SMB Security Settings tabs. Look for the 'Export' setting for each one and set to 'No'. Edited June 13, 2021 by Frank1940 Quote Link to comment
Symadic William
Thanks Frank. Other than set as "No", can I remove it from the "shares" list? Quote Link to comment
Frank1940
As far as I know, the answer is No. However, once you stop exporting it it can NOT be accessed except through the Disk Share or by using the Unraid OS-- which is Linux. (By definition, a 'User Share' is any Directory/Folder that is the root of a hard drive that is in the array.) Quote Link to comment
