brunoilla
- Hey Guys I just woke up to see that one of my VMs wasn't booting and I ended up figuring out that the OS was corrupted due to btrfs errors. - I currently identified 2 Bad files, my Windows VM image and my Docker Image. - Since the errors are displayed on nvme0n1p1, I thought about formatting that drive and then restoring the raid array, but I'm not sure if that is the best option. - Scrub is not able to correct the errors as seen Below - I would appreciate any help on how to move forward and restore my Docker Image // Scrub Results _________________________________________________________________________ UUID: 8911909d-57ec-416c-ad16-bc389aa2f302 Scrub started: Wed Jun 23 10:14:04 2021 Status: finished Duration: 0:01:52 Total to scrub: 918.01GiB Rate: 8.20GiB/s Error summary: csum=30826 Corrected: 0 Uncorrectable: 30826 Unverified: 0 _________________________________________________________________________ // Drive Info _________________________________________________________________________ -Critical warning0x00 -Temperature39 Celsius -Available spare100% -Available spare threshold5% -Percentage used2% -Data units read15,633,440 [8.00 TB] -Data units written47,638,644 [24.3 TB] -Host read commands60,382,144 -Host write commands949,992,574 -Controller busy time860 -Power cycles137 -Power on hours5,030 -Unsafe shutdowns83 -Media and data integrity errors0 -Error information log entries168 -Warning comp. temperature time0 -Critical comp. temperature time0 _________________________________________________________________________ Error Sample _________________________________________________________________________ Jun 23 10:22:02 Saturn kernel: BTRFS warning (device nvme0n1p1): csum failed root 5 ino 75533 off 589451264 csum 0x8941f998 expected csum 0x302e9db2 mirror 2 Jun 23 10:22:02 Saturn kernel: BTRFS error (device nvme0n1p1): bdev /dev/nvme0n1p1 errs: wr 0, rd 0, flush 0, corrupt 647379, gen 0 Jun 23 10:22:02 Saturn kernel: BTRFS warning (device nvme0n1p1): csum failed root 5 ino 75533 off 589451264 csum 0x8941f998 expected csum 0x302e9db2 mirror 2 Jun 23 10:22:02 Saturn kernel: BTRFS error (device nvme0n1p1): bdev /dev/nvme0n1p1 errs: wr 0, rd 0, flush 0, corrupt 647380, gen 0 Jun 23 10:22:02 Saturn kernel: BTRFS warning (device nvme0n1p1): csum failed root 5 ino 75533 off 589451264 csum 0x8941f998 expected csum 0x302e9db2 mirror 1 Jun 23 10:22:02 Saturn kernel: BTRFS error (device nvme0n1p1): bdev /dev/nvme1n1p1 errs: wr 0, rd 0, flush 0, corrupt 522857, gen 0 Jun 23 10:22:02 Saturn kernel: BTRFS warning (device nvme0n1p1): csum failed root 5 ino 75533 off 589451264 csum 0x8941f998 expected csum 0x302e9db2 mirror 2 _________________________________________________________________________ saturn-syslog-20210623-1502.zip saturn-diagnostics-20210623-0811.zip Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
There's a lot of data corruption detected, first thing is to respect the max officially supported RAM speed for your CPU, since that's a known source of data corruption with Ryzen, also not a bad idea to run memtest after that, once it's fixed restore files from backup.
